Hello everyone.

Joined so i can find like-minded people who share my GREAT taste for books ^^

I have been reading fantasy for aslong as i can remember, when i was younger i read Readwall by Brian Jacquesand, Tolkien and Raymond E Fiests books. At the age of ten my mom got me the swedish translation of The eye of the world and i was stuck. Unfortunately the swedish edition consisted in 20 books wich spanned to somewhere in the middle of the 9th or the 10th english book. So i was furious when i found out that they wouldnt translate the rest and when i tried to read the english book my english was too poor so i gave up reading, almost completely since i was so into the story that i wasnt interested in reading something else. Then a few years back i found the series again and again i wast stuck but i was dumb and started reading where i think i left off so now that im finished i feel that i have missed some parts and has now begun my quest to start fresh with the original books, not some shabby swedish version and to relive the whole journey again before the conclusion of the serie.

well you arent the only one i started the series in engish but i had to get a dictionary since i couldn't understand alot of words but after finishing the series i learned a lot of new words and i believe it increased my loving for books and i compare most books with RJ works

Good on you both!! I sux at languages so wouldnt even TRY to pick it up in another language!

 

NorthDe if you think you missed stuff you might want to stay away from the Discussion boards cause they are full of Spoilers. I would suggest you go have a look at the Social Orgs instead thats where we hang out and play

You can also look at the general discussion board which has mafia games and real life debates, and I guess you could go to the RP boards if you have read the last few books.

Welcome! Yes, avoid the spoilers but there is much to do around here. I can't imagine how frustrating it is/was for you.
