First of all, FoS on Ironeyes for standing in the middle of the debate so you can go either way no matter what he flips. That is pretty much the definition of fence-sitting. That being said, some of Despo's post did seem scummy, but not enough for a vote, he could have been trying to find scum with that info.

I'm Delibird. I have the ability to gift presents to others. I can either choose one person and have a 100% chance of them getting something good, or target 2 different people and have a 50% chance of something good for each one of them.

 

I can pull up the quotes later when I have more time, but I breadcrumbed this role earlier in the game.

 

I asked if my role works like an Inventor, if the person receives items they can use or something, and I got a PAFO. I still believe I can vet my role however.

 

And although I have responded to each of those voting for me, not a single person has responded to the points I raised. EP voted for me for a bogus reason, Matty voted for me cause I was "too town", Basel voted for me even thought the ONLY REASON I was saying a RB'er should reveal is cause they might help catch a scum, so his reasoning is just completely invalid. John claimed I was doc-fishing, which is just bs. And Turin, I never once said "why me" or anything close to that. I also find it hilarious that you accuse ME of excessive town leading.

 

Either way, the fact that this train has built as fast as it has should be the biggest clue that scum are on my train trying to drive my lynch. My role can be very useful, and yall know that I can be a good scumhunter. If you lose both because none of you are willing to see what should be obvious, I don't know what else to say.

This is true. There have been multiple instances of people being led astray by following flavor too closely at the expense of playing the game. Since I know next to nothing about Pokemon I am merely playing this like an unthemed game.

 

That said I do believe Despo is mafia based on his play to date.

I read the wiki about it too, and tbh I had a feeling some would be more suspect of it, but considering the nature of my role, I think AH was using Delibird from it's role as Santa's helper.

 

Plus, if I was mafia, don't you think I would try to come up with a less suspicious claim than that? I briefly considered coming up with a fake claim, but I felt honesty was the best course of action.

What in the world are all of you smoking? I don't care whether or not anyone reveals, but if we had a RB'er of some kind block someone last night, then we have a great chance of catching scum today. I can't believe yall don't see that.

 

I also don't like how quick this train just suddenly built up on me, smells extremely scummy, like the mafia are working together to try and get me speedlynched. I wouldn't be surprised at all if there were already a couple of scum on my train. EP picked a crazy bogus reason to vote me, and BG should know better. Call it rolefishing if you want, but our job is to catch scum and I pointed out a possible way for us to be able to do that today.

 

Bold: this translates as why are you voting for me? Why me? the next sentence that you don't care if anyone reveals or not is not what you advocated in your intial post. There you were clearly trying to persuade people to reveal their roles.

 

That's just your translation of it. I can express incredulity at the case against me, that doesn't mean I'm asking "Why me?". You're completely twisting things to suit your needs. The whyme=fryme thing is for people that are only focused on defending themselves, and not on casing others. I have obviously cased others this whole game, including today, so you're completely misusing that argument.

 

As for the other point you raised, you say I was trying to persuade others to reveal in my initial post. Let's look at that post a second.

 

Hmmm... interesting, no NK's. This could either be very good or very bad for town. The scum could have possibly targeted the doc, and the doc usually self-protects N1, so it's possible the scum already know who he/she is. Let's hope that's not the case. Either way, the Doc might need to watch his/her back even moar carefully.

 

The great thing we could get out of this is if someone has some role info that could help bag some scum today. Did anyone RB or Jail someone last night? You don't have to come out in the open if you don't desire, but if there is a RB'er of some kind that could explain the lack of deaths.

 

I'm going to withhold my vote for now to see if anyone has any pertinent info of that sort, or any other sort for that matter.

 

Oh and pre-post edit: A third possibility is that the scum team just decided they felt bad for us and chose not to NK anyone If that's the case then I will present them with a giant hug

Bolded: I clearly state that if someone has that type of role, but doesn't want to come forth, then they don't have to. But let's be honest for a second. This game has plenty of newer mafia players. I let myself get worked up last game that I was in that had a lot of newer mafia players, and wanted to try and be more patient this time. I still felt tho that some might have to have it spelled out for them, that if they were a RB'er and blocked someone last night, then that would give us a great lead to try and catch scum. I'm not saying it's a foolproof method, but it still would have been valuable information.

Weak argument. A fast building train implies that mafia have no problem joining town in helping to lynch another townie. It's not always the case, but almost every time someone gets speedlynched and the target wasn't confirmed scum by the cop or anything, that person inevitably ends up being town. The other exception is when a newbie scum makes an obvious slip, but do you really think that is the case here?

If you miraculously flip town then some of us that are advocating your lynch will be suspect if you flip mafia then some of your defenders will earn greater inspection.

First I didnt know that I would be the hammer for Niel. I lost track of Votes on him, and there wasnt a current chart up when I voted.If I had known I would have been the hammer I would have reread again and found a better reason than rolefishing.

I dont like Rolefishing, and as I said in my post. ONly reason Im not voting is because it seemed more like Despo was either A: trying to figure out what happened, or B: Was attempting to allude to some information he may or may not have had. Though telling us what he does I am starting to wander slightly if he his power is why there was no kills last night. Maybe he picked someone that the mafia picked. I dont know. Then again I have no idea what any one is. So Im watching, reading and attempting to figure out whats going on.

 

Second. I have also noticed that Turin seems quite intent on Seeing Despo out of the game. Whether that is cause he knows something that I dont, or if he is scum and just doesnt want Despo or us figuring out. I have no clue. For now Im seeing everyone as a Townie Stupid move Im sure Until someone slips or gives a legit reason for me to think otherwise. And currently sadly to say Turin is someone doing that. He is focused on someone that so far other than posting something that looked and read like Rolefishing. Despo hasnt done anything wrong as far as I can see. I havent seen any legitatimate reason why Despo should be lynched from Turin, Firebird, BG, Matty, Snowy, or Basel.

 

Honestly to me it looks more like everyone is just jumping on a train started by Fireduck, BG, and Matty. Who in themselves didnt give that good of reasons to Vote Despo in the first place.

I don't believe you got the PAFO, after how my role got confused last game, Heart explained exactly what the role did and how it worked, even let me edit my targets. So I'm calling shenanigans Desp. My exact cleared up definition of my power last game was "Town Busdriver"

If you look at the post. Starting with the list of names after Turin and the complete next paragraph they look different. It has been shown in other games this is the look that happens when text is c/p from QT. On mobile version it even shows different formatting. So Volke got this off his QT. Written by a teammate. Incidentally, speaking of EP, I expected more out of him this game. Not just cause of his rep, but because of how much he talks about his play in the first pokemon game. And I expected him to be much more spammy than he has been. Also, he never came out and confirmed that he was Teddieursa, did he? I would have expected him to respond to that.

 

Also not really believing that I just so happened to bring up Marsh RIGHT as he finally was looking at the thread after 4 days. But he's not the only one who resurfaced all suspicious like.

As for volke, I didn't see the formatting thing on my laptop. but it was def noticeable on my phone.

It does feel kind of dirty to vote for someone for something like that, but that doesn't mean we should let him live for it. I think he was trying to buy some townie cred by trying to defend me last second, since he prob thought I was getting lynched anyways. Since he hammered Niel, he probably didn't want his name on another townie lynch, and the c/p thing does make it seem like he was being coached by his teammates.

 

The main thing I'm wondering about is, why does it look the way it does? Nolder proved in the Smash Brothers game that copying and pasting from a QT def makes it show up weird even on the regular version of DM, it has a diff font and everything, and it didn't highlight the text like Volke's post did on the mobile version. Either way it looks sketchy, but does anyone have an explanation for why it appears that way? Have yall seen it look like that before?
