Books by character?

Hey everyone, so awhile back i noticed someone said they read books by character sometimes during there rereads and that really interested me. So i was wondering 2 things,

 

1. Is there a list somewhere that i can easily find the chapters i need to read if i wanted to read wot from say mat's point of view all the way through, or perrin, or rand, or how about everyone significant enough to had said list haha. I've tried looking through but i was having a hard time.

 

2. to those that have done this assuming some of you have, how is it? is it as good as i think it will be?
