To be fair I'm thinking Tina and Volke are Mafia. I'll keep the pressure on my end but I'm perfectly happy to vote Volke as well if his becomes the more accepted vote.

Ithi. Saying that you'll keep the pressure is kind of a contradiction. When they know you're attacking them because you want to pressure them, they won't be as scared. If you hadn't SAID you would pressure them, but just gone ahead an done it, they would be flailing alot more than they will do now...

Not really. Some people might prefer my tina lynch to Nol's Volke lynch. I plan to vote the other on the next day whichever goes first. But I'm not going to assume that everyone is going to go with what Nol says. I want Tina gone.

So, Nolder. Why is Volke suddenly mafia? You go through all his posts (and choose him because he hasn't made many), and find out it's mainly spam.

 

To which you concluded: he didn't add much to the game, so he MUST be mafia...

That's the reason you chose him, not the conclusion ...

To put Volke's 23 posts into perspective: at 828 posts total and 18 players, would mean an average of 46.

 

Half the average #posts in a spammed mafia game doesn't seem extraordinary to me.

*blinks* Sorry If I spam a bit. But it is my first time playing Mafia. And my random votes for the most part have been to see what happens. Still getting a feel for it lol.

As for the bandwagoning again. It was to move the game along, yes I changed my votes, but then again when I had unvoted Nolder, everyone else had too. I was random voting waiting to see what happened. REading what others said, and yes I did forget to say something funny on the When I voted EP. As for the random Spam in Lol catz speak. Thats cause Heart said I had to do that for 24 hours.

 

And Nolder your very interesting. Remind me to debate with you sometime, if we both get caught up in a topic I know about.

Where am I defending Volke? I'm explaining why I don't follow the vote train on him. Let me explain a bit further:

 

I know it's hard to go through all of someone's posts and NOT think (s)he's mafia, but this is one of the weaker cases I've ever seen made by this method.

 

My problem with it is that you turned the reasoning process around: you chose Volke for some reason (his inactivity), and you vote him for that reason.

Can you show me where your case study on his posts has given you something which both makes him mafia AND was not part of the reason you chose him? If not, it's a false reasoning (as it seems to me).

 

 

Oh, and being inactive is not a good reason to vote someone. That may be a good reason for mafia to kill.

No the difference between my vote and yours is two fold. 1) I have not voted yet and i might never. 2) You jumped on with nothing more to say, not even your own opinions. I though am waiting for abit more to be said before we end this day. Just because we now have a deadline doesn't mean we have to rush. It's days away.

To me, this game is about questioning strange behaviour. This leads to people lying, which leads to mafia.

If that's true I'm sorry for coming at you so hard. Having said that, I'm still not going to let you slide by on a newbie pass. Besides I think the best way to learn how to play a game better is to play with people better than you and try to get up to their level.

Lesson for this game whether you're town or mafia: Try to stay more involved. Spam is acceptable as long as it's not ALL you do. Contribute to discussions. You don't have to necessarily be the person coming up with ideas as long as you comment on them and let people know where you stand.
