I guess it was a good idea for me to blow off some steam. Someone should have told me. Wrath is my sin. Today I was very wrathful, and I ask for forgiveness from anyone I might have offended or insulted.

 

I'm very very confused at the moment. And I think I should continue relaxing. I was taking the game way to seriously.. I'm never this emotionally invested in a mafia game.

I honestly expect that by the end of this the town is going to have to lynch turin or ithi just to stop their interplay. Adds far too much to the WIFOM

 

 

I have already said that I am merely a town foot soldier so feel fre to lynch me whenever needed to ease your minds.

FoS for that quick bandwagon Turin. I still think Arez is the way to go today.

 

I had previously stated back when the "turin case" began that I was comfortable going with ether Nya or Tina today and saving Taltos for tomorrow. I am a little less suspicious of Nya at the moment and am becoming more convinced Tina is mafia as she has gotten a little quieter now that the heat is off Taltos for the moment. Mafia letting the town chase other town perhaps.

Sorry, folks, I've been a bit over my head in this one. I managed to get into three games at once, and trying to do the full GSoD treatment on all of them was keeping me from having time to talk in any of them, so I let the spreadsheets go in two of them.

 

Luckily, or unluckily I suppose, I've been NK'd in one, so that just leaves me two... alas, the most complex two, and in this one I feel hopelessly behind... especially because I have no freaking clue about pokemon whatsoever. I've been reading without taking and trying to formulate thoughts, but it seems so many people are all over the map right now I will have to catch up on the spreadsheet after all.

 

For now, regarding some of the recent commentary:

 

Taltos - I honestly think the majority of his behavior is because he is brand new. Whether he is noob mafia or not, good question.... As I recall, both Basel and EP drew all manner of suspicion in their first games because of being either defensive or all over the map or generally scummy, and both were town. Kaylee's first game she was scum and lived to the very end (although I was ready to vote her a few times, I just got distracted by other lynch trains). I got caught as scum in my first game primarily because everyone thought I was being coached. I don't read Taltos' behavior as being coached, which means if he is noob mafia, he's not getting much advice, if any. This is just a gut instinct, mind you... Will have to come back to him when the spreadsheet is caught up and see if I can find more.

 

Panda - Starting to ping me hard. He seems very defensive. Razen pointed out his voting history, and that does look quite excessive.

 

The others who've been a focus today I'm going to have to at least read through again and scribble a few notes, because I can't remember anything that truly stands out about them, except for Nya's normal goofy Nya-ness. It's not necessarily scummy, but I have seen her be much more serious, and it makes me curious about her and what she's trying to hint at.

 

Today's an off day and I have a good bit of work to do, but I should be back with an informed vote after a re-read. The full spreadsheet treatment is going to have to wait until later, so expect no multiquotes this time around, lol.

Not sure that I like Ithi´s play this game. I get the feeling that she already know who is scum and who is town. Since she keeps protecting Turin and now voting me I´m keeping my vote on Turin. I could definitely vote Thorum or Volke too if someone wants to go that way. Those jokey self votes does not look good. Looks to me they are avoiding to say anything about the game. Thorum has voted me with a reason so I guess Volke is more interesting.

Suppose we have some sort of flavor cop who is unfamiliar with pokemon? Wouldn't it be better to have some collective view about what pokemon are likely to be dangerous just in case?

 

Tell us again what you gained by claiming Voltrob. Have you voted anyone based on the result yet? Is that why you vote Roo?

I was kind of amused at the people that thought I would actually just claim out of the blue like that

 

And yes my only vote so far has been based on reactions to my claim and the discussion and voting following that. I believe I detailed my reasons with my vote.

I find it interesting that the implication here is that if I'm not "intending to help town" that I'm somehow doing something wrong

1. I was bored with the game. I felt like it was moving slowly and there just wasn't any discussion going on that seemed relevant.

2. I wanted to stir things up Re: reason 1.

3. Looking for reactions specifically to my claim.

4. As I said, I'm vanilla. If things backfired and I was lynched because of it that's really the best result for town aside from an actual scum lynch which is rare on day 1. In a way you could call it protecting any power roles we have.

 

As for what good it did the town, that's debatable of course. Could have had a negative impact on the game. Might have had none. Mafia games are really complicated especially while they're still ongoing. I don't think I could make the call whether it had any impact at all at this point.

As I admitted in my post it's debatable whether it actually had any effect at all or if it did what that effect was but I think my intentions are clear

 

My thinking is that the mafia probably aren't fussy which power role they NK on Night 1, so revealing probably wouldn't make a difference on that front. I don't think you should reveal just yet though, in case I'm wrong

It's called day 1. Unless mafia makes a big mistake, this day ever only gives a townie kill.

While this is generally true that doesn't mean day 1 shouldn't be taken seriously or that it is a waste

The more serious you treat it the more information you will get regardless of who is lynched

Simply quoting something I write and saying "that's sooo wrong and scummy" is not propper scum hunting.

@ Thorum, I do not like the whole " a townie always gets lynched D1 so I am just gonna pick a random person" thing. As town we need to do our best to dig the mafia out from the start. It is difficult to get mafia D1 but it can be done. And even if we miss it can help track them down in the long run.

 

Two things:

- I NEVER said I'm "just gonna pick a random person" (except my very first vote - but I hate not having a vote on someone). ALL of my votes have a reason (even the vote on myself: it's bad luck not to have a vote on you day 1 ;D Superstition, probably).

- I said something like "we can only get a mafia day 1 if mafia sucks.".

 

Both of these sum up to your last sentence.

- What do you mean with the "pressuring" part?

- Nyanna is new, you are not. As far as I know. btw, I don't think I was online between you revealing being Voltorb and you denying being Voltorb. I can be wrong, but the first reason would make me less inclined to give you a similar advise.

- I asked you how you helped town. You said it was either a neutral or a negative effect on town. Which is why I unvoted you (mafia would never admit this). So now you're saying you did good to town? Then what is it and why didn't you mention it in one of your first four points?

- I unvoted you because your intentions WERE clear. Past tense (as of a couple of minutes).
