Am replaying Emerald right now >.>

IMO Emerald was the second best game even though the Hoenn storyline was kind of crappy and annoying

talking about getting attached to your pokemon have you tried the nuzlocke challenge?

Anyways - for no particular reason, I have more time. Someone link me a thingy about generation 1 pokemons - and how you tell the good ones and the bad ones, and I will start ripping the Mafia team apart.

Edit: As for telling "good" pokemon from "bad" pokemon...that's a hard task. If you wanna go by the anime most pokemon Ash encountered were "bad" when he first met them. Spearow for example beat him and Pikachu up like crazy but they're not...bad. They were just mad. If you want to go by the games, which is what I'd recommend, very few pokemon are "bad" but I listed the ones you need to watch out for. Hypno for example hypnotizes children and steals them away. And of course Golbat wants your blood. Alakazam might probe your mind. Etc Etc. If you'd like a run down of any specific pokemon both from an anime perspective and game perspective just name it and while I'm alive I'll try to give you my best guess of what we can expect from it.

Pikachu? Unlikely. Dinosaur? Uhhh a lot of pokemon kind of resemble dinosaurs. Are you referring to fossil pokemon (Aerodactyl, Kabuto, Kabutops, Omanyte, Omastar) or something else? As for ducks...I wouldn't worry about them. Psyduck is harmless 99% of the time. Golduck is average. And Farfetch'd is just a novelty.

 

Did the team rocket folks not have any preferences that would be helpful to know?

Do you mean in the types of pokemon they used? Or something else?

I have read through the game now. *sigh*

 

Darthe votes Turin because it seems that Turin would know who is mafia. I agree that the way Turin formulated it looked suspicious.

Ithi votes Darthe right away without a reason but saying something like "Are you sure you want to do this?" Sounds like a threat. Turin peddles back and forth - Taltos bw vote (and earlier omgus votes) is scummy, at least the scummiest so far, not much to go on so far. Later on he says a Taltos lynch would give a lot of information. People have defended Taltos which is scummy. But he can give Taltos a newbie pass on his first day.

 

Ithi says that people that says Turin looks scummy but doesn´t vote him is scummy. That is funny since she voted Darthe when he voted Turin. Razen agree with Ithi. He doesn´t think Turin looks suspicious and me and Nya are suspicious for being suspicious of Turin. Ithi "joke asks" Turin if he is town. Turin says he is town.

Nya says that she isn´t very suspicious of Turin, she was just trying to grab on to something that might be scummy (or something like that).

 

I don´t know what is going on with Ithi - Turin. Why do Ithi defend Turin this hard? Why did she vote Darthe as fast as he voted Turin? Then she changed her vote to me for saying that townies shouldn´t lie.

 

I´m joining Darthe - Unvote. Vote Turin. The defens of him due to one vote and some comments were very strong. (Surely that is bad English but I can´t formulate it good. Hope you understand what I mean.)

 

It´s a tough game to read because of all spam and hints that I don´t understand. Some people write a lot without saying much relevant (Lenlo for example) and some people are very quiet (Kudaran for example). Arez voting Darthe without a reason when people have left the joke faze, Volke voting him self.

Nah Nuzlocke doesn't interest me

I find most of the rules too easy

I generally play with my own special brand of rules and restrictions that IMO are much harder

Maybe, maybe not. Be good to know who they are anyway. I found that players imagined far worse stuff than I had ever even possibly considered lol. There may be good, neutral, and usually bad pokemon.

that's all for the anime

 

in the game rockets usually had:

 

Zubat (or evolved form golbat)

rattata (or evolved form raticate)

there might have been voltorb (evolved form electrode)

 

there were probably one or two more, but they didn't have a massive variety of pokemon

 

with thte number of players in this game I would expect to see the top 5.

Nah Nuzlocke doesn't interest me

for example when I played Emerald I wasn't allowed to evolve my starter pokemon (Treecko) until it was level 50

Actually I made up a new restriction fairly recently but I haven't tried it yet

To be fair a lot of this "pokespam" actually has good information in it

We're discussing which pokemon are likely to be mafia affiliated

 

Granted there IS offtopic conversation going on as well but just because you don't understand it doesn't mean ALL of it's useless
