I've been lurking around a while and thought it was time I joined up.

 

I first read WOT in 1998, I think. Just before Path of Daggers came out anyway. It was the second fantasy series I'd read (after LoTR) and is still probably my favourite. I think it's fair to say it got me hooked on the genre.

 

I've been re-reading the series in preparation for AMoL and lurking around here to try and make sure I've got as good an understanding as possible about what's going on before I read the finale. I haven't done a re-read since before Winters Heart so I've only read the more recent books as they came out and the details there are a bit sketchy. Am currently on Lord of Chaos in my re-read.

 

Anyway, I look forward to having some discussions with everyone.

Oh great! It's nice to meet you, that was quite a while ago, you started reading a long time before I did O.o And to still be sticking with it is awesome.

 

What parts of the site will you be most active in? I got hooked on the genre from the Wheel to :) It's a great series.

I'll have to be boring and say Rand is my favourite, it's his POVs I look forward to most. Mat's a close second.

 

Favourite scene is a tough one. Nup can't do it, can't even think of a short list.
