A new guy around

Hey everyone,

 

I'm a 34-year old fan and webdesigner living in France. I've discovered the Wheel of Time series a few years ago and was so eager to know the full story that I gave away my French translated copies and bought the full series in English :)

 

Now, I wish to present my respects to R. Jordan's family for their loss and thank them for choosing B. Sanderson to finish this amazing work.

 

Being both a fan and a roleplayer, I also bought the RPG published by Wizards of the Coast but was somehow a bit disappointed in the rules they made up. So I made my own game system and so far it goes well. My players are eager to discover more about the world and I started to draw maps of various cities and towns, some of them available at khowhl.deviantart.com. These maps are just redraws of the maps from the books.

 

I felt however that there is something missing : a detailed map depicting the whole Wheel of Time world. So based on Todd Hamilton's maps and several fan-made ones, I gathered everything into one huge map. I wish to get this done by the end of next year, assuming I can have all the missing information : the Westlands are surely fully detailed but there is almost no information available about Seanchan (apart from major cities, mountains and rivers) and Shara.

 

I'd like to get the missing information (assuming it exists) to finish this world map and get it released if I can have Jordan's family and publisher's agreement. Final map size is supposed to be around 100 x 65 cm (39.3 x 25.6 inches) at 300dpi which means it could be printed by professional printers at poster size !

 

Anyway, this is my big project and I sincerely hope to get help to finish it someday.
