Marvel is just throwing everything in its arsenal at the big screen.

 

 

Marvel Studios' post-"Avengers" plans continue to fill out with a potential new franchise emerging today.

 

Twitchfilm reports that "Guardians of the Galaxy" has entered "active development" but it is not known if any filmmakers are attached as yet.

 

The original story centres on a group of aliens, the last surviving members of their kind, who journey to Earth to protect the planet from an upcoming invasion.

 

The film joins "Iron Man 3" and "Thor 2" which will hit in 2013, "Doctor Strange" which is in active development, and the likes of "Iron Fist" and "Black Panther" in very early development.
