Malazan Mafia [Advanced Sign Ups]

A storm was brewing. The air was changing, and people could tell they were at the calm before the storm. Somewhere on Genebakis lightning struck a tree as the first droplets of rain started to fall.

 

The desert continent of Seven Cities lay unusually quiet after it's most recent uprising. Things were never as the seemed. Beneath the surface emotions were roiling to match the sky's tumultuous behavior.

 

Letheras was under siege from the storm. It had been raining for weeks, all the crops where destroyed and famine was setting in. All the power players hordes of gold couldn't buy them peace of kind as they watched day by day the rain turn their precious estates to soggy mounds of molded stone.

 

Again lightning strikes, and again and again. Chain lightning crackled all over the world until one simultaneous strike. Something big was about to happen. A convergence was inevitable. Anyone with thought enough to pick up the deck of dragons would have been able to feel the power seethe forward. All were afraid to lay a field for fear of inviting the powers.

 

This mafia game will be based loosely on the Malazan books. No prior knowledge is required.

 

RULES

 

1. There will never be a deadline pre-set. I'll give a four hour warning before someone has to be killed.

 

2. No quoting anything I say to you in private.

 

3. Mafia is a game where you backstab, lynch, and kill. None of those are friendly things so keep the niceties to a minimum.

 

4. Bold your votes only. Want my attention color the question.

Me! I started reading these books recently.

@wombat you should. I found the second half of Gardens to be amazing and every book since then just about. Midnight tides was meh. Best series IMO. I'm finishing the last book now. I'll continue to run Malazan themes for a while because well honestly there is so much you can do with it.
