ok so i'm thinking i might go overseas for a week or so at the beginning of next year, some time from the end of january to mid march just before i go back to uni.

so being a student i'll have limited funds so i'm thinking Bali, Thailand or somewhere else that wont cost heaps to get to or stay for a week or two. i know the beginning of next year is still along way away but i need to start saving now and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to go and what to do so i had an idea on how much i'll need to save.

so yeah if you know some where that is nice but cheap to fly to from australia let me know.

cheers

SPAIN!! Actually...that might be a bit costly and it's kinda far from australia, but it's pretty

But Thailand would be cool, or India *nods* Personally, I'd love to go back to S. Korea with my best friend that lived there for almost 7 years

Yeah...my roommate has a classmate that came from Australia and apparently that plane ride was more expensive than it was for me from the Midwest (about $800 round trip flight for me, which is really decent when it comes to international travel).

Malaysia is wicked cool! If you're in KL you should stop by the MegaMall! Other alternative to sticking in a spot would be to take a short tour in South East Asia. They're all practically linked and its easy to cross borders :P So you could pick a route like Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and be done within about 2 - 3 weeks.

A tad late but...

Japan.

Despite the recent earthquakes and tsunami, Japan is a truly wonderful country. It will always hold a special place in my heart, and I look forward to going back one day in the future.
