*has SO been lurking this thread from the start and can no longer resist the urge to participate* ^^ Hope no one minds me jumping in. I love anything to do with time and time travel.

 

I would have to say yes I might play a little mischief like taking someone who was really obnoxious and leaving them standing in the middle of Times Square in their underwear holding a stuffed bunny or something…but only to those who really deserve a comeuppance. :D

 

But I would really use it to more fully explore the world. I could travel while time was stopped as long as the roads aren’t too crowded, say 4AM, and cross the country exploring old Route 66 and other cool roadside things.

 

I’d stop time when I slept and when I was reading. Oh the things you could learn given a little more time! I could make time to learn the guitar, hone my Photoshop skills, learn quantum physics, write more etc…

I saw a movie about this once and about the limitations of stopping tim. This guy gets a remote that can stop time and has all sorts of fun with it as you can imagin but at the end there is this big nuclear war and he stops time as the nuclear warheads are overhead and you can see one in the sky. But there isn’t really anything he can do to avert it so he has to just live with stopped time forever or choose to let it go. It was really eerie but thought provoking.

yeah it was entertaining. Its about this teenager whos dad is abducted and forced to make a watch that makes its wearer speed up so fast that the world looks as if it has stopped moving

yeah. all you had to do was push the button, and after the set time it turned off. Or you could turn it off by pushing the button again. You should totally try to find it and watch it.
