Where to play Mafia

Hi.

 

I'd like to play mafia online, but i cant seem to find any good site for it. I tried mafiascum, but they've been sitting on my registration since tuesday which is not very acceptable in 2011. I havent found anywhere else.

 

Can anyone help me?

in this forum right here is a good place to play Mafia we move at a medium pace, and are always hoping to lynch play with new members.

 

 

right now i think all of the games are playing, but within the next couple of weeks we should have a few more opening up for signups.

 

MJ - http://www.myndjack....orums/index.php is another site which has mafia on it. alot of the same members here on DM play there as well. and then ofcourse is the infamous Jet Nation site which has Mafia games ran on it during the football offseason. i don't play there personally, they move way too fast for me; but others here on DM do.

And yes, you can find a CORNY-COPIA of Mafia games all over DM. Its kinda like the Pro-poker circuit but for Mafiascum.

To Csarmi and any other Mafia addicts,

 

I am the Admin of a forum dedicated to the growth of the game of Mafia called MafiaManiac. Obviously Dragonmount is a great place to be mafia but if you really want to get into the strategy of mafia and play some more complex games with new people then MafiaManiac is the place for you.

 

HOWEVER, there are some slight differences between the style of Mafia on here (which we call Scum Mafia) and the version played on our site (which we call Den Mafia). But thanks to my time on this site, I have a short little guide that outlines the differences that can be found HERE. Some differences might seem obvious and others might seem weird but I feel you will get the hang of it with the help of our members.

GM That's good work, but can I point out that all that's not strictly true about "Scum Mafia" I don't think there's been any on DM for a bit but we sometimes play what we call "fast mafia" where days and night are 24 hours. Especially in the vampire/werewolf hunter games (which reminds me look at all the newbies who haven't played my vampire game hehehe)

 

Also hammer games might me the norm here right now but they're not always. If there are a heap of day actions a mod may choose to have a deadline only game so that everyone gets time to use their shiny toys.

 

As for long drawn out stories I encourage you to go find some of DPR's games. WORKS. OF. ART. Seriously.

 

Not to discourage you from a game style you enjoy just that I see you've only been around DM a few months and like everything in life Mafia styles tend to be cyclical; someone hosts a really kick-ass original game (Heros comes to mynd) and suddenly the tone of all the games change.

@JLM: I don't think I've been around that long.

 

I made the guide based entirely off the idea of the "Normal" versions of these games. Personally I am happy that the games move faster on here. Plus the guide is supposed to be used for other sites like yours as well that play "Scum Mafia", so the descriptions of Scum Mafia had to be general enough to fit into other sites games as well.

 

I will look into DPR's work and stuff and am thinking about trying out an old game I hosted on here using "Den Mafia" style. But I want to play a couple more games on here first. Just can't do it right now as I am hosting my Inception Mafia over on my site and have finals coming up

it has it's faults as a mafia site, but if you don't take it all too seriously you can enjoy yourself here

 

edit: I should note that it's a very NSFW environment

mods will take care of cheating and extreme cases of harassment but if you have sensitive eyes this might not be the place for you
