Two weeks after it seemed nobody wanted it, NBC has announced that it's picking up "Boston Legal" creator David E. Kelley's attempt to re-launch "Wonder Woman" on the small screen reports The Live Feed.

Warner Bros. TV pitched Kelley's script to several networks earlier this month but many rejected it including NBC who "couldn't commit to the type of license fee that the studio was seeking in order to do the show Kelley had envisioned" according to Deadline.

What changed is Kelley’s new legal drama for the network "Harry's Law". The Kathy Bates-led show premiered to a healthy 11 million viewers, giving NBC its biggest non-Olympics audience in the Monday 10pm slot in more than a year.

Now, the executives have decide to give it a shot. Kelley's take reimagines Wonder Woman aka Diana Prince as a vigilante crime fighter in L.A. who is "also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life."

Actress/model Elizabeth Hurley revealed in a tweet today that she's been cast in the pilot episode of NBC's upcoming reinvention of "Wonder Woman".

David E. Kelley ("Boston Legal," "Harry's Law") produces the series which reimagines the story of Diana Prince as a vigilante crime fighter in Los Angeles but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.

Hurley said she's "Thrilled to be doing the NBC pilot Wonder Woman. I'll be playing the evil villain. Can't wait." How far her role will extend beyond the pilot is unknown at this time.

Diane Lane will play Martha Kent in Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman movie for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.

The studio made the announcement late yesterday adding that Lane will play "the only mother Clark Kent has ever known." Snyder added "This was a very important piece of casting for me because Martha Kent is the woman whose values helped shape the man we know as Superman. We are thrilled to have Diane in the role because she can convey the wisdom and the wonder of a woman whose son has powers beyond her imagination."

Lane is only the second official piece of confirmed casting in the project after Henry as the new Clark Kent/Superman. At last report Kevin Costner and Viggo Mortensen were tipped for Jonathan Kent and General Zod respectively, but no serious movement has happened on either role. Mortensen's deal for "Snow White and the Huntsman" is looking to be almost done which would rule him out of the running for "Superman" due to conflicting shooting schedules.

Krack I think you got this one in the wrong thread.

Suit picture and other details

EW have posted up the first photo of Adrianne Palicki in costume as the new Wonder Woman in NBC’s reboot of the classic 1970's series which David E. Kelley is producing.

Gone is the blue skirt, now it's skin tight blue pants and boots. The figure-hugging costume is also somewhat more bold in coloring than expected, but does include the superhero’s signature lasso and cuffs.

In spite of the Halloween costume look, NBC says the show will be a serious, non-campy take on the DC Comics character.
