I have visited this site and enjoyed reading on many topics in the past. I am currently reading Towers of Midnight--I intend no specific details of the book to be in this thread please--which brings me to the specific reason I have just recently chosen to register. I have some friends who have read much of this series but have grown tired of continuing (i'm sure many of the members here know others like these and, like me, lament these friends' fatigue). So, I thought--with the intent of giving said friends a renewed passion to continue the long but utterly fantastic journey--that it would be fun to see how many fanatical affirmations we can add to this thread to convince our friends that finishing the series is NECESSARY!! That said, I begin this gathering storm of exaltation with the following . . .

As I read the second-to-last book of The Wheel of Time, if one saw me reading it right now, they would see a person simply sitting on his bed, looking at the pages, nothing special. But, as I read it, if my body were to portray the feelings, the emotions that this book is creating, intensifying, storming inside of me, one would be seeing me literally tremble as I read. Through the course of well over 10,000 pages, I have come to know a new world, filled with multiple entire independent civilizations, each with their own languages, skin colors, beliefs, value systems, superstitions, lifestyles, clothing, governments. I’ve come to know literally hundreds of people, by name, some good, some evil, followed the course of their lives, witnessed them develop, as they question their initial value systems, their initial beliefs of the reason for their existence, and, after questioning these, make life-changing decisions, decisions that take them completely different directions, decisions that affect hundreds to hundreds of thousands of others depending on their positions of influence, in some cases, decisions that fulfill prophecy. I’ve followed the life-threads of a grand tapestry weave through each other and begin to form patterns that have become sections of a mural that have begun to merge. Reading this end’s eve book, and I cannot fathom what my experience with the finale will be, I am witnessing the incipient culmination of these lives, these decisions, this tapestry. It is the most exhilarating, intense, vivid phantasmagoria. The end is coming, and I am unable to control its effects on me. Brandon Sanderson is a true master gleeman. Robert Jordan, a demigod. And this series is THE apotheosis of an epic fantasy work. THIS is entertainment. THIS is art. This is air. I invite you to truly breathe.
