REAVER ASSAULT

 

 

 

 

 

The ship rocked as it took another hit.

“Get us in that canyon, Wash, before they take out our engines.” Mal roared.

“I’m working on it, sir. If we bank any harder, she’ll stall.” Wash responded.

“Do I need to remind you what will happen if the Reavers get us?” The captain asked.

“Taking her down, sir,” was the immediate reply.

Firefly’s hull started vibrating violently as Wash made it do things it was never designed to do. The rest of the crew had gathered in the dining area and buckled themselves in. All of them were armed and ready to give their lives, or take their friends lives, if the Reavers made it onto the ship. With a sickening thud and a scream of shrieking metal, Firefly touched down . Shepherd Book started praying aloud and even Jayne didn't think of stopping him. Suddenly the loudspeaker came on, making more than one person jump involuntarily.

“I have some good news and bad news, people,” started the Captain. “The good news is we are on the ground and the Reaver ship isn’t going to be able to get in here. The bad news is that they launched a two man scout to come and find us. If we can make sure those scouts never get back to their ship, we may have a chance of getting out of here.”

Henry, the passenger they had taken on in Persephone raised his voice for the first time in the ordeal. “What will they do to us?"

“If they take the ship they will rape us to death, eat our flesh, and sew our skins into their clothing, and if we're very, very lucky, they’ll do it in that order,” Zoe responded calmly.

Wash and Mal entered the dining room at that moment. “All right, everyone. We need to get outside and take care of these Reavers in the open.” He informed them. “If they find us in here, we’re done for. Separate in groups of two and start search patterns. Everybody goes armed. Carry as much ammunition as possible and save a round for yourself. Good luck everyone.” Everyone naturally separated by the people they most loved. Wash and Zoe left the ship and headed for the cliffs to the east. Mal and Inara chose to wait in ambush in the tall grasses south of the ship. Simon and River made their way towards the caves, where they might find a place to hide if all was lost. Kaylee and Shepherd Book set off for the boulder strewn area towards the north. Jane glanced over at Henry.

“Looks like I’m stuck with you. Hope you know which end of the gun the bullet comes out of.” Jayne chuckled at his own joke and set off toward an animal trail he had spotted up the cliffs to the east with Henry scrabbling along behind him.

RULES:

 

1. My game my rules, I can change them as I please.

2. Play nice. No personal insults allowed

3. NO CHARACTER REVEALS. Role reveals are ok, but revealing characters would make the game far too easy for the town to win. Therefore, character reveals WILL be punishable by modkill

4. Time limits- Day 1 will last 7 days RL, after which days will be 3 days RL (weekends being half days) and nights will last 48 hours.

5. This is a hammer game. Day will end on the hammer vote whether I am online or not.

6. In the event of no majority, the person with the most votes will be lynched. I hope this will help people keep their motivation.

7. No communication off thread unless I have given you a QT for that purpose.

8. Death posts cannot reveal any information that was not previously revealed.

9. I have no problem with editing texts, but be warned that many will see scum in it.

10. If something comes up and you cannot continue, please let me know so I can get a replacement.

11. Votes must be colored red. Remember to color unvotes as well or the new vote will not be counted.

 

Remember that this is a standard game. No surprises in this one. HAVE FUN!!

Well we used to glow on the old forums but these make you type BB code instead of pressing a button so there has been some ambiguity of late. As for how we do mafia over here, we do it slow and painful. Usually it isn't as bad as it is right now though. The combination of some regulars dissappearing and the new book and boards has slowed things down to a crawl. Hopefully the PM system comes back up soon.
