From the begining

Decided to start right at the begining with New spring, can't wait to see where these books take me. I really hope that some of the bad reports i've heard about the books arn't true.

It would be better to read the first few books before you read New Spring. It will be much more interesting that way, and make more sense.

Welcome and I concur with Elgee. New Spring my chronologically be the first in the series but it didn't get released until 10 had been out.

 

But its still a good book. It introduces and develops some important characters within the main series.

Welcome, The Warder! Likewise, I would recommend reading at least Eye of the World first. Then feel free to read New Spring. Eye of the World does more for setting the story and worldbuilding than NS.

Welcome Warder!!!! I hope you enjoy your time here at DM, and yes - i agree with the others, save NS for when you know the characters and the world of WoT a little more and you will enjoy it far more.
