You might want to read the My Brother's Keeper RP - i've just bumped that to the top of the RP board.

 

I'm think any new Red who joins can RP their reaction to that, but I still want to re-read the rest of it to see if it will fit in

And yes, I wanted Elin to be old enough to be taken seriously, but not so old she would have to be tied down in the Tower just yet.

 

Elin isn't a Moiraine, or even an Elaida... rushing about making world changing decisions and actions in the throes of (relative) youth. She waits until she's respectable to start rocking the boat.

Hmmm... I hadn't looked at other characters ages when I set Elin's... did I suddenly make her older than most active Aes Sedai?

I just went and checked ... you're one of the oldest active Red characters

 

My Larindhra seems to be the oldest, then there are Shevara (Amyrlin) and Raslyn (Keeper). Below that Zarinen, then you, then Jagen and Jasmyne. Can't find Salene on there, but I was just looking quickly.
