Severed implications

When a woman heal a severed man he is fully healed but when she heals a woman then it is only a partial healing. When a man heal a severed woman she is fully healed but when he heals a man then it is only a partial healing.

Assuming this is true then could they both(linked) increase the level of power or possibly enable someone to channel?

just a thought

Is that actually true? I can't remember that ever being confirmed.

RJ confirmed it.

As for the rest... maybe... maybe, on the other hand, the function that allows women to draw saidar has something to do with saidin, and vice verse. Maybe the reason women healed by women arn't as strong is because the power they are drawing on is leaching away because its the same as whats trying to contain it... like how Rand's cleansing idea could only work with saidar involved because a tube of saidin would shatter.

We simply dont know enough about how the function works.

It is also confirmed by evidence in the books. We have three of those four possibilities covered:

Man healing woman (Damer and the Aes Sedai)full strength

Woman healing man (Nynaeve and Logain)full strength

Woman healing woman (Nyneave and Siuan/Leane)weaker

The only one not covered is man healing man, but the other three establish the pattern. In this case, the opposite sex works best.

Any response to the other speculations would be just that, speculations. So I'm with Luckers ... maybe.

If, by "enable someone to channel" you are referring to a person who never could before the answer is no. It would be the same reason that we were told attempts to gentle a man who cannot channel wouldn't affect him in the slightest. There is nothing to cut while gentling and nothing to fix while healing.
