Anyone else here have an accent of some kind ? Well, some people like to call them speech impediments, but, anyways.

Just made me curious because in my college, there is a visiting professor from China, and he has a very heavy accent that everyone loves to heckle. It is a bit thoughtful, since I wonder if there is a running joke about me and the way I speak; I can hardly ever say the sound "th" the first time around and I do not pronounce words quite the same, because I do not speak English solely and I still mix the pronounciation up a bit - and I just do not think I will ever be able to say "th" smoothly, no matter how many times I say it. That is one of the hardest sounds I have ever known in languages !

I have a strong accent I'm told. I'm from Israel. Though... I learned pronunciation from various tv shows so it's possible I developed some sort of mutated accent :D

I'm not sure about an accent. I mostly grew up in the Midwestern US. Then, after I met my wife, we moved to her home state of Alabama. As for what the locals in Alabama thought about my "Yankee" accent I will abide by the PG-13 rules and leave it to your imaginations.

After spending ten plus years there, I certainly picked up some colloquialisms that the "folks up North" (where we are currently relocated) found amusing.

As in:

fixin' ready; Coke to describe any soda, tan yer hide, a propensity to add ma'am or sir when addressing any stranger, and the ubiquitous y'all

In addition, I have spent some time in the UP of Michigan and tend to add an "eh" at the end of many of my spoken thoughts.

That's mighty interesting...y'all, lol. Had to say that after DG. I really like English accents; I think the English are some of the best tourists in the world. Anyone who ever lived or is living in Europe knows all about tourists... <_<

Hehe, I find a British accent to be the sexiest thing ever, seriously. <3

I have a southern accent (I'm from South Carolina, and live in Illinois). I've been trying to kill my accent for three years now (because people always laughed at it), but it still pops out when I'm hyper/angry/annoyed/excited. They love when I say "y'all" lol.
