First things first: This game is fast. Very fast. Do not sign up unless you are willing to commit to it.

Players will post a Ballot to vote and may vote for as many other players as they wish, listing them in order of preference, see sample ballot below. Your ballot stands until you submit another one. To repeat, your ballot from day one will be used for day two if you do not update it.

The ballot must be submitted within a quote block and must be formatted similar to this:

I'm not going to fret about the exact format, but be clear in what you say. My interpretation of your post is what counts. Oh and no hanging chad. What did he ever do to you?

 

The Mod Ballot: I reserve the right to submit a ballot to help vote off a player. I do not count as a player for purposes of determining how many votes are needed for a lynch. Reasons you're on my voting list: Inactivity, minor infractions, 'cause I feel like it.

 

Each phase ends at 6PM CST(Please convert this to your local timezone). All posts made after the deadline are considered to be posted at the beginning of the next phase, even if I have not yet posted the lynch/mafia-kill.

 

You may not edit your posts. Period.

 

You are permitted to create an alliance with any person you choose, and may create a QuickTopic (or similar) board to discuss privately IF AND ONLY IF you send me an invitation to the board. There are player restrictions I must enforce (some players may not be allowed to use the letter 'v' in any Lightning Mafia related discussion)

 

Last, once you are dead, you are dead. As your broken and bullet-riddled body swings from the gallows you may make one final 'BAH!' post* as the last of your vitality leaves you. Afterward, you cannot participate in this thread, or in any discussion related to Lightning Mafia. Please just go to the afterlife peacefully. There will be cookies!

 

* Obviously do not reveal any game sensitive information in a 'BAH!' post. UNACCEPTABLE: "Right before I died I was gonna post that David is mafia, but I was late getting home from school today." Acceptable: "I just learned that - URK!" Less acceptable: "BAH!"**

Hey this being my first Mafia game, do you recon i should sign up or wait for a slower paced one to show up? i like the sound of this one, but you guys will know best

Normally, I'd say wait for a standard game. But...since the switch to 8.0, the boards have been pretty slow. Due to that, I'd say just sign up for whatever game you want. The mod(s) will be more than happy to help you out with basic game mechanics, and the mafia wiki is invaluable for this.
