[FAST] Assassins in the Palace - Game On!

Ok, let's get started.  Here's a copy & paste from the signups:

 

-- There is one King, one Assassin, and the remainder are all Guards who are told only the identity of the King.

-- The Assassin has one kill that they can use at any time during the game, even immediately after they are lynched.

-- All Guards know who the King is.

-- The King does not know who anybody is.

-- There are no night phases, and therefore no night kills.  Upon a lynch, the game will move to the next day phase and continue.

-- There is no deadline for a day phase.  If the game lags, I will impose one.

-- Please glow your votes [glow=red,2,300]red[/glow], and [glow=red,2,300]unvote[/glow] before voting for another.

-- There is no quoting (or paraphrasing) Mod PMs.

-- There is no editing of posts.

-- You may only communicate off-thread if you have been told via Mod PM that you can.

-- Failure to abide by these rules will result in an immediate Modkill.

At this point in the game, the Assassin is probably going to be hesitant to vote since they don't want to accidentally vote for the King.  By this reasoning, Karasayl and Lily are looking more innocent to me.

 

That being said, the more votes that are thrown around, the more likely the Assassin can figure out the King's identity by process of elimination.  So we're going to have to be able to question and vote for the King as if that player were a normal Guard.

 

Finally, keep in mind that the Assassin can kill AFTER being lynched.  (Just a reminder on thread).  This means we can't lynch someone for voting for the King in any case -- or at least not immediately, since that would give away the King's identity to the Assassin.

Every time I've played one of these type of games, I've always felt that we should vote for the king as often as anyone else. But I'm always afraid to be the one who votes for the king, because that might make people think I'm the assassin. I never know what to do.

And seeing as this the first time I have played this type of game, I thought I would approach with caution. Nice that that bites me in the rear. ::)
