The forms are based on real martial arts forms, like tai chi.  If you Google around, you can find lists of the moves as well as descriptions. And there's video from last year's JordanCon of a class my husband and our friend Steve taught.

Many of the forms look like they could have come from any number of sword arts. I know Historial Italian longsword (ala Fiore dei Liberi) uses vinettes that often sound strikingly similar. I've seen many japanese/korean techniques that are also very similar. Its just a shame I wasnt able to go to JordanCon to take the class :( But, heres hoping for the next year *crosses my fingers*

I was randomly browsing over some old threads on here the other day and I found this.

The discussion was about characters fighting skills without channeling being involved, and The Thin Inkeeper posted an hilarious scene, sa mini martial arts tournament. The names of the forms are made of pure win.
