Did anyone ever play this game?

 

It was a huge 1st gen mmorpg, until WoW and FFXI decided to steal it.

 

Man, that game has a lot of memories to it.

I played a Dark Elf Necromancer and Troll Warrior. Was on my server's best raiding guild after the expansion and managed to show just how absurdly broken you could make both a Warrior and Necromancer. Really fun times. Not played in like 2-3 years though. It was awesomely fun though; my first MMO. Nothing like being that Wizard that sat on 11k HP and loled, or the Necromancer with every resist maxed and still like 7k HP and their pet.

In what context?

 

Cause EQ is older, and only FFXI and EQOA are on the console, where as WoW isn't even in the same category console wise...

 

And, I'm pretty sure that Diablo 2 was far larger than EQOA. ;)

From what i have seen it was a 1st gen MMO.

 

And im not talking console wise, just that with the release of FFXI and WoW, the player base dropped considerably.

its at least a 3rd gen mmo!, EQ, L2, DAO were 2nd gen.. 1st gen is older, and technically those are 2nd gen to the... can't think of the word for it, but its the ones where you have to 'type' your way through everything.

 

as for EQOA, I think i've played a Ps2 version of that, or a PS2 sequel to it.. Iliked the orginal EQ better, its still going.. Infact I think they just relaesed there 15th expansion...
