[Themed Mafia] Dead and Deader Signups Closed, Game starts 01/27

Ever since the Japanese invented a synthetic blood that Vampires could drink instead of human blood, Sookie Stackhouse's world has become a very interesting place. She's learned that all those storybook monsters were real. There are Weres and Shapeshifters, Witches and Faeries and even Maenads. Her little corner of Louisiana seems to be a hotbed for mythological and magical beings.

 

Now Eric Northman, Area 5 Sheriff and Fangtasia bar owner, wants Sookie to come to Shreveport and use her Telepathic ability. He won't say why but Sookie knows she has no choice. Things are about to get very dangerous for Sookie.

 

Signups start now! Pick your #, it's determines which role you receive. If there is enough interest I will add more roles.

Rules:

 

The same as Jeran's game for the most part, this is basically a c/p.

 

1. No editing posts. Ever.  Check your spelling, punctuation, etc.. BEFORE you hit post

2. Do not quote PM’s from the Mod.

3. No speaking to other players about the game unless your role specifically states that you can. In which case you'll get a quicktopic. You may only communicate via the quicktopic and all quicktopics will be revealed at the end of the game.

4. Everyone is expected to make at least 1 content related post every game day. If you are going on a LOA you need to tell me in PM AND on the Game thread. If you do not meet the requirements, you will be mod-killed for inactivity.

5. Game days will be 72 hours Real Time, and nights will be 36 hours or until all Night Actions are in. Weekends will be counted as 1/2 days. The times are subsequent to when the Mod can get online, so they are not *exact* though she will try to be as exact as possible.

6. If you cannot reach a majority by the end of the day, I will randomly kill someone who has not placed a vote (unless they have posted a LOA). (Great rule Jeran/Naeann!)

7. Please respond to your PM confirming that you have received it before posting in the thread.

8. Rules are subject to change as needed.  I'm the Mod... I reserve that right.  I'm more than happy to have newer players and will help where I can.  Be prepared for a PAFO though.

9. Above all remember that this is just a game... HAVE FUN!!!!  ;D

In honor of the fact that I've been waiting for my library to get this book in since October and it finally says I'm next in the hold queue, sign me up!  If I like book 1, I'll buy the series rather than waiting in line for the next one from the library.  :P  And I'll take number 8.  I hear funny things about that number.  :D

Tigraine: Can you just pick a random #? All of the #'s are attached to roles to make it random, so I'd like to keep it that way and not make it seem like I chose the role for you.

 

Pookie: I actually just made up the title for this game, so don't expect the events to be in the series or anything like that! I'm taking great liberties, believe me. All I can say is the series is fantastic and addicting! I've read all of it in about 2 weeks time, 3 in the last few days >.>

Nah, I've read enough old mafia threads by now to know that you can't expect it to go like the book/movie/show just because the theme is alike.  :)  The name caught my eye, but it was the description that made me decide to sign up.
