Woah! Congrats on your first house, Horus! And all that took was six months working? Damn... I so live in the wrong country.  :-X Got any pictures? We want to see proof to your landlordingship. (just hide the ones with the sheep.... no, really... no sheep.... no!)

Yeah, only took 6 months to save enough for a deposit and some money for renovations. Pretty fast but I bought the house off my mother so I got a really good deal! *nods*  ;D

Thanks, guys. Am pretty proud of myself lol and I'll get some pics up when the lawns are mown and I've stopped dying from the flu. *sniffle*

*wiggles in my chains*

Hey, don't know you well enough for ya to tie me down yet!  ;) :D

Congratulations on the house!  Now you can spend your weekends spending money on it instead of earning money for it.  :)  At least that seems to be what our house thinks it needs!  Maybe since it was from your mom it'll be a little different, but we find that every project we do has a surprise project attached to it.  Like trying to put in a new range (to replace the one that was 30 years old) involved running new wire between the junction box for the range and the breaker box since the wire they used when the house was built was doing its best to try and burn the house down. (aluminum +  copper + standard wire nut = NO (we were lucky it didn't go past a melted wire nut))  Hopefully your house has fewer "quirks".  :)
