When I was younger, I wasn't allowed to watch the Simpsons. I was allowed to watch Ren & Stimpy. I never figured out how my mother worked that one out.

I saw part of that one episode anyway, and.... it was more annoying than funny. So, no worries. :D

But that reminded me of something; the girls I used to babysit all the time, have been growing up on Nickelodeon.  They watch Spongebob, and stuff like that.  Well, I had them watching some Disney Channel stuff, like Little Einsteins, when their Grandma was there, and she was all like, "Hey now, are you trying to corrupt my babies?  Let's put on something that's good and won't ruin you." And she flipped it to Spongebob.

 

At least Little Einsteins is educational, to some degree. ::)

Never seen Little Einsteins. I wonder what Granny would say if she knew there was subtle adult humour in Spongebob.

 

Ren & Stimpy was in the early 90s, some of it was pretty twisted but funny. :D

She's not THAT old, DSage. :P  She's maybe almost 60 or so. Maybe.  Her daughter, who's the mother of the girls, is only 24 or so.

 

She probably does know, El, but she's such a weird person.  I swear, I cannot STAND that woman.  Not that she's a bad person, but she GETS ON MY NERVES.  I'm sure you know how that feels. :D
