Picked up "a game of thrones" today. Good book. Anyone else read it?

Yeah, it's a good book. The first and second book in that series is really good, but the third one I could only make it like half way through and I couldn't read any more. It just got too boring. It has good information in it, but it's boring as hell (well I thought anyways).

That book is fantastic, make sure to pick up an old version from when they were originally printed, new versions have a few words changed in the book...

The fourth book, however, is not very exciting. Some of the best characters (Dany, Jon, Bran) have only indirect roles. Fortunately, when GRRM finally gets around to publishing A Dance With Dragons, they will get plenty of time to shine. :)

One of my friends warned me to only read Enders game and not the rest of the series. And ya, I really got into Game of thrones right from the start. I love this guys writing style!

If you do, you might want to check out the saga of seven suns, a sci-fi series which is kinda similar, what with the myriad of character and different viewpoints each chapter and whatnot

Haha, I'll finish what I am reading now first lol. I am reading the eleventh Jordan book, the first Song of ice and fire book and this other series at the same time. All while playing FF7 for the first time. Also I just bought Crisis Core.

The Game of Thrones TV series on HBO is making progress. A bunch of roles have been cast and the pilot has been written. Hopefully it at least makes it through the first season. :D
