how old can an aes sedai live for?

IIRC 750-800 was stated as an upper bound on channeller lifespan.

Rather around 700, but that would be rare.

Aes Sedai can reach 300, which we see in Cadsuane. While there is a possibility the Aes Sedai of old could live longer, since there were stronger Aes Sedai than cadsuane back then, there has been nothing mentioned that support this when we have seen talks about age.

That said, to adress the OPs confusion here regarding the difference between Aes Sedai and Damane.

Aes Sedai gets their lifespan shortened by swearing on the Oath Rod. It is not known exactly how this works, if it is original life expectancy that is shortened, or if it is remaining years (or even if it is a set number of years that are cut away, though this is extremely unlikely to be the case.)

So with channelers having a life expectancy in the mid-600s or so, three Oaths means roughly half their lives cut.

Remember Alivia. She is considerably stronger than Nynaeve in One Power strength, she has been damane for 400 years and she only has a few fine wrinkles at her eyes and white streaks in her hair. There is speculation that shes as strong as you can be in the Power, which would mean she is Lanfears equivalent.

it depends on other issues as well i have read durring AoL non-channelers lived upto 150 years

so food healing tech lvl food and many other things would extend a non-channelers life maybe they also extend of a non channeler

That speculation is wrong. It is based on Cyndanes comment about how Alivia was stronger then her before the finnland holiday. However, this immense strength was a result of Alivia wearing Nynaeves angreal. Without angreal, Alivia is not even as strong as Cyndane.

Yes--thats probably why we've heard of women reaching six hundred, but never heard of women reaching 700. Some did manage that in the Age of Legends, though it was rare. We probably won't see any modern channelers reach that age no matter their strength--lacking sung food and the high standard of health care provided by the Restorers I would say that the upper band for age in the modern world is between 600 and 650.

I don't know of anyone who utilizes that quote as basis for speculation about Alivia. OptimusPrime certainly never mentioned Cyndane's comment--which doesn't even really touch on the issue because all it states is that its impossible for a channeler to be stronger than Lanfear (which is what leads her to the correct deduction that Alivia had an angreal).

The fact is we do not know where Alivia stands. She may well be as strong as Lanfear was, or weaker than Cyndane (though not by much I would think), which is why it is speculation--on both ends.

In any case there are threads entirely dedicated to the discussion of this for those who are interested.
