The Land of Shara

I have always been interested in "the Lands Beyond the Aiel Waste" and was wondering if they ever talk about them in any major detail in the books. I haven't read Crossroads of Twilight or Knife of Dreams yet, so I wouldn't know about those, but I don't seem to remember any info in the other books. The only info I've found is in that big white reference book they put out. That's pretty neat, but some more info would be cool
