Req RP Idea- Need others

So I had a idea for a two part story line. Could use trainees or TGs are the first, second would be open.

 

So I wanted to run a trouble thread either with some Trainees or Tower Guards... It would be a punishment thread where my character Sandre catches either two doing something they shouldnt and has to punish them. This would also count as a req for the two getting in trouble. The punishment is going to be learning to dance. He would of course warn them they will be performing in front of a large group of people. He will also tell them it will be a sort of erotic dance (Though not as they think it will be.) They will realize they arent learning the Sa'Sara when he introduces blades into the mix. That being done we move into Thread 2.

 

A Cleansing by Fire. The two dancing trainees would be learning to practice for a cleansing ritual to help those dealing with issues from their past to over come them. Along the beach of the river two large Bonfires would be set up and several smaller around it. When nightfall comes the participants would show up and be painted up in woad (woad wasnt just blue by the way) and wearing only a few scraps of clothing. There would be drums playing as as they watched various blade dances and dances that seemed aimed at swinging flaming or non flaming weapons as close to one another as they can without actually touching. It wont just be sparring however. It would in fact be a dance. There would also be peyote burning in the fires. The woad would give them courage, the peyote the vision to overcome whatever they are there for. Picture people jumping between the bonfires and risking their flesh to the flame while they overcome their fears and I think it may complete the mental picture for you.

 

Most characters show up to the yards with a lot of baggage or past deeds they cant seem to let go of or emotions that drown out everything else. It would be a character development opportunity. The second could also count as a Interpretive Dance req for the dancers. I dont think it would have to be limited to just the two in the first thread either. Both Kalduns will be there. Strangely I can picture Kynwric doing this and Lor wondering why he never mentioned it so I may ask him. I think it will just open up several opportunities for new RPs as things such as an unexpected coupling, or a hangover from it all, or perhaps an Aes Sedai comes to watch us all dance like savages, would be great story hooks.

 

So... anyone want to get in trouble and learn to dance?

I think this is something Adela would be GREAT for!! She is SOOOOO not the dancing type :D Perhaps she could get caught with Lone...If he is interested. If not I am sure she could get in trouble with about anyone.

You said the second will be open? Lillian knows the tiganza (tinker dance) but not the Sa'Sara. She is always interested in learning more of feminine arts. And training skills.  :)

Lol well glad some people are interested. I suppose then you need to start thinking about how your characters would get in trouble then. It doesnt have to be together. Im sure more than one trainee gets in trouble a day.

That is brilliant! And I wish we'd thought of it for Corin lol. But I must say...this inspires a few ideas. Any chance of an Aes Sedai trying to overcome her fears?

Yeah wouldnt be a problem. I was planning to leave it open. So we have Ade... anyone else want to get in trouble? Eqwina I figure since Lone hasnt looked here yet we could just say someone else took him and start off with your character getting a scolding.

 

Still need one more though. If we dont get a response in a few days for a second I will go ahead and make a character up for it.

*smirks* no, but if Kyn's dancing, Lor so totally wants to watch she'll die if she can't. And she's old. You wouldn't do that to an old lady, right?

I will get the post up today or tomorrow. I am going to post on the WT side to let them know in case there are some Aes Sedai with some issues who dont mind participating in such a barbaric rite. I will post one thread for the trouble makers and Lone and Eqwina and a second for post dated to start the ritual which I suppose has enough attention :)
