Aspiring?

I am oh so impatiently waiting for my ooc promised to make his way to the tower so I can play with him, and I thought in the meantime I'd come chat with you guys! Who is aspiring for what Ajah? Who is undecided? Torn between a couple?

 

Lavinya is a Gray and I will shamelessly recruit you if I can, but I'm curious as to what your characters are leaning to and why. And if I can help with an rp either helping you lean towards the grays or turn you off us, I'm more than willing!

 

When Lavinya was an initiate, I always had her pegged to be black - her main ajah was irrelevant lol. In the end I picked Gray because it suited her and her goals - she was ambitious and wanted power, position and authority. She believed she could have those things as an advisor to a throne. She was also extremely manipulative, and was a merchant's daughter, which made her a good mediator. It became the natural choice. She was too hot-headed for the whites, loved men waaay too much for the reds, too selfish for the blues, and yellow and brown just didn't fit. Green was a possibility, but I admit I avoided because when I was an accepted everyone was green or blue lol.

 

So, I'd love to hear your current thoughts and motivations. I'm so excited about rping at the moment I just want to talk about it all the time! :D

My Accepted Esther is likely to go Gray, though she's no negotiator. I'm not sure if she should be Gray or Blue. Her passion is the law, and I see her traveling around Randland acting as a magistrate, or some such, a la Beonin.

 

Input on that would be appreciated  :D

ooh really?? It has been so long since we've had a gray aspirant! The Gray Ajah is dedicated to the study of law and it's just application. Mediation is one part of it, but they also act as advisors and magistrates. Blues follow causes and her cause could be the application of the law, but law is what Grays do! Justice, mediation, peace treaties, trials and hearings, that sort of thing, are all right down the Gray alley. If you want to rp with one I'll happily offer Lavinya or Pia. Lavinya is not really the Gray poster girl (try black sheep) but Pia is a sitter and avid debater and is genuinely nice to initiates lol. So if you need me, don't hesitate to yell! :D

Well.... completely unsure where Kasi will end up at the moment. But I'm sure she won't end up Red or Yellow. lol

I'm currently unsure with Allisia. At one point I had considered Yellow, but opted out of that. I'm thinking she's more likely to follow the routes of either Blue, Green or maybe even Brown. I'm not going to put any decision set in stone quite yet as I'd like to see if other characters try and sway her in one direction or another. Tons of fun that way, I think. :D

Totally agree with being open about your choice! I know some people have an ajah in mind from the beginning, but that sounds like too much planning to me lol. Besides, sometimes your character can change in ways you don't expect...like Lavinya never went black, and I can't see her ever heading down that path now, and it was what I wanted from the day I wrote her novice bio. She had a mind of her own :).

Jerinia's going for the Blue Ajah after the Reds start bonding Asha'men... plot related.

 

At the moment, she's trying to decide between Green, Red and Blue, in that order.

 

Aeryn will have a strong tendency to go for Yellow, again after a plot reason.

 

And lastly, ??? will quite possibly be heading for Green ;)

Devrion main ajah is going to be black, but other than that I would say either, red, yellow, blue, or green

Selene is trying to decide between Blue and Gray right now.  She's great at people, befriending them and getting them to like her.  I originally wanted her to be yellow but then I didn't get the OP score for her to be able to do the proper weaves, which ended up making for some very good story as she struggled with not being good enough for the Yellows.  She definitely doesn't want to be in the Tower much, and she wants to help people.  She was leaning blue but then Tigara swayed me towards making her Gray and now I'm not sure which way she'll run.

 

I'd love to have you in that Gray thread I was talking about with Elgee, Lavinya.  And I was doing a blue thread with Elyssa, but I don't know what I'm going to do with that now.

 

I play a Gray sitter, Ziya Asunawa, and I also have a novice, Katiana, who has a lot of growing up to do before she can even guess at her Ajah.  No blacks, though.  I don't enjoy playing them.

 

Eventually, if Selene ever gets raised, I'm going to make a Red sister, too.

Wilemi - Her talents are suited for the Green Ajah, but her demeanour gravitates her towards the Brown or the White.  I originally intended for her to be a Brown but lately I think she would do well in the Green or the White as well.  *Hints to the respective Ajahs*

 

Nenen - Green in heart and in soul.  This is where she belongs.  Though she may end up joining the Blue Ajah and colour the corridors with her words.

 

Nesyer - Green, Yellow and Grey  *Hints to Lavinya*.  Yellow in Talent and heart, Green in conflict, and a Grey Mediator.  She has potential in all three.  Come persuade her to choose her Ajah!

So many wonderful potential Gray aspirants! I want to offer my services if any of you want to rp with a Gray, even if it is something that helps determine that the Grays aren't for your character.

 

Possible rp ideas?

-You can discuss the Ajah and its purpose

-I can run a Gray Ajah class

-You can some see a Gray in action as she listens to local petitioners (think local magistrate)

-Maybe you were wronged by someone, come to a gray for mediation help and advice

-Come shopping with me and carry my bags, and watch first hand how to haggle :D

 

...honestly, anything goes! I have two different Gray sisters available for your pleasure -

 

Lavinya Morganen - she is a fiesty redhead who can be somewhat domineering, but she is a master manipulator and skilled negotiator. She is the black sheep of the Ajah, I would not call her a traditional Gray, but then again each ajah has many different facets. :)

 

Pia Tovisen - Pia is the Ajah Head and is a sitter. She is an old sister (220+) and is a former MoN - so she has a real soft spot for novices and accepted. Definitely not a scary sort. She loves to debate and believes in listening, and strongly believes in justice and equality.
