hello.  this is my first post.  love robert jordan and love the series.  quick thought.  lot of very cogent arguments about recycled forsaken on the boards.  there was some pov  by one of the forsaken mentioning that in the war prior to the dragon's strike the forsaken had plotted against each other on occasion and had perhaps actively killed one one another.  is there a limit in the amount of time the do has to recycle a forsaken?  how do we know tha he hasn't recycled some dead forsaken from the age of legends who we have never heard of b/c they were killed prior to the sealing of the bore.  i.e. why couldn't someone like taim be one of these old evil channelrs.  just a thought.  thanks.  :)

The fact that he can recycle, even given the time line, says a lot. His main people you would think he would keep going. I guess its possible that he could have some in hiding still. But I doubt if any are left from the AOL, except for the Chosen. Although, Ishy does challenge that theory. Ishy was never sealed was he?

I've often wondered if an AS man shut himself in a stais box to escape the Taint, not insane yet but knew he would be, thinking there was a chance he would be found after the Taint was removed from Saidin.  We know sealing living people can be done like that because of all the Shadow spawn forsaken have recovered.

Then I wondered just what he would say to the modern AS, and what he would have to say to Rand about the AM.

We don't know exactly how stasis boxes work. The Shadowspawn that have been said to be in statis boxes aren't exactly normal. Zomara and gholam don't need air to breathe or the other things humans would (gholam do need blood, but "stasis" implies a "static" state). Also, removing the taint was thought to be impossible (Taim and Logain still don't believe Rand did it), so I'm not sure anyone would have hope for that to happen in the future. After all, civilization looked to be ready to collapse on itself.. Also, if you were once "affected" by the taint, you're still gonna go mad.

Ishy was bound but not permanently. Im not sure how frequently he was free or for how long, but periodically he was free to roam the world.
