My Own Worst Enemy was just canned by NBC.  *throws stuff at Barm*  Don't think I realized you are behind this... you and your comments about canceling my favorite shows.  What's next.... Lipstick Jungle.  DAMN!  That was canceled also.

meh- honestly? me and my friends would usually watch the first 10 minutes of that show to laugh at it after heroes as we had nothing better to do. then we'd turn it off and do otherthings

It is official.

Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone and Pushing Daisies Canceled as well...

ABC has canceled Pushing Daisies, executive producer Bryan Fuller has confirmed to me exclusively.

Jeff Vespa/Wireimage.com "I just heard the news," star Kristin Chenoweth tells us in an exclusive interview tonight. "Obviously it's a bittersweet night." (Keep reading for much more from Bryan and Kristin.)

According to our inside sources, Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money also have been canceled. Reps for both shows have declined to comment. However, sources who work on Eli and DSM say they were informed today the shows would not continue.

So what happened? And is there any chance these characters will live on?

Bryan Fuller tells me, "[ABC president] Steve McPherson called me and said, 'We gave it the best shot we could.' "

According to Fuller, the facts are these: "It's very likely that Pushing Daisies will end after episode 13, which as you know, is a cliffhanger. But we are talking to DC Comics about doing comic books that will wrap up our storylines, and I already have a pitch for a [big-screen] movie ready to go."

ABC intends to air the remaining Daisies episodes that have been shot, either in the current Wednesday at 8 p.m. timeslot or in another spot.

"To be honest," Fuller tells me, "I'm really not feeling very boo hoo about it. I am so proud of the show. We put together 22 really good episodes, and there is a lot to be proud of. I'm sure I'll be working with a lot of these people again, and I would love to do so."

As reported by the Hollywood Reporter and E! News earlier today, the ratings for last night's "Oh, Oh, Oh, It's Magic" episode were the series' worst ever numbers in the key 18-49 demographic.

"I think the writers’ strike did it," Kristin Chenoweth (Daisies' Olive Snook) tells us tonight. "I think that the ratings for all the shows are poor this year and it’s not what the networks were hoping for. I’m not sure why ABC decided to axe our show. I know they don’t own us, so I know that probably has something to do with it, but who knows?"

We caught up with Kristin at the premiere for her new movie Four Christmases, shortly after she was told Daisies was canceled.

“I just found out about an hour ago,” she said. “Pushing Daisies will probably forever be one of my most happiest times of my career. I loved being apart of that show, such quality, and I’m very sad."

As for all the storylines that will be left hanging, Kristin says, "We don’t really have a closure. It’s going to leave a lot of our friends wondering." So would she do a movie? "I hope [bryan Fuller] does it because there’s nothing like his mind. I often ask him if his brains hurt because there’s so many ideas inside of his head. I would love to do a movie."

You heard the woman. Bryan, Warner Brothers, let's make it happen, okay?

Also, to you fans, please know that we are very much trying to get info for you on Eli and DSM as well, but so far have not been able to dig up any info beyond the confirmation from sources who work on the show that they were told it's over. We will update you as soon as we hear more.

So, you could watch it, but didn't?? And you're blaming me?!  :o  ;)

Do networks ever take into account the online viewings of the shows? Or tivo-type recordings?

Posted

No they don't cads. At got-heroes they've been over that issue like a million times, apparently they can't do that for tivo and while they could for online stuff they don't

Fox Exec Barm to the rescue! *dashes off in a fancy suit*

Lol usually it's dashes 'in' in a fancy suit. (I just saw Quantum of Solace so fancy suits seem very cool at the moment) I never get into all these little shows, sure some may be good to some people but they usually run for a few seasons and then get cancelled. Or have a good first season and then suck afterwards, like Prison Break. You gotta stay with a show thats gonna last, like Stargate SG1 for all you Sci Fi geeks out there. That show has been around for like ten years!

I'm sad about pushing daisies, it was one of the few romances I could stand.  It was/is really cute.  Meh, that just figures it'll end on a cliffhanger too.

Chrono, you mean had been.  Although it suffered after the advent of ScapeGate.  ;)

This will be the 4th and final season, they decided to make it the best they could and end it like they wanted, rather than letting it go on and on and fizzle out. Though I do believe a show about Caprica will be coming out at some point.

Ya I've only seen an episode or two here and there but it seems to be pretty good. I'll probably just watch them all on Surf the Channel sometime.

Ya I guess but there are still spinoffs like Atlantis that are still going on. How long has Battlestar been playing?

Atlantis is being canned after this season, fortunatly.

I prefer Private Practice, though I don't think either is quality. At least Private Practice doesn't take itself so seriously. Or maybe it's that it's so bad I can't even believe that it tries to take itself seriously... Either way, wouldn't miss either of them. *g*
