Hello, my name is Roy. I don't ever know what to put in these get to know you sections. But here goes. I was introduced to RJ in 1994 by a friend. I had never really been into reading all that much before. Once I had gotten through TEOTW I was hooked and couldn't wait to get to TGH. I quickly caught up to the unreleased books and found myself eagerly waiting for the next book to come out. Even so much as to start reading other series that he had written. But seeing as this is DM and not a Conan site I will not get into that. LOL Like so many other readers I could put myself into the stories. Everytime I read them I would daydream about what I would do if I were in the story.

Glad to meet another person who has been reading series for long time like me.  I dont' remember what yr it was and could easily look it up but I started reading when bk 4 was just released but yeah I love the series as well and just thought I'd put my shout out to you and put more then one sentence welcoming you to the crazy house aka DM.

Did you feel welcomed when people only posted "Welcome to DM".  No, it made you sad.  Sad like a kitten that hasn't eaten in weeks and someone walking by goes... "Look at that cute whittle kitty cat" and walks off.  The cat maws pitifully but cute doesn't get it a nice steak dinner.  So this is me feeding you... like a baby bird, except I didn't digest it for you and do some mouth to mouth feeding process.... even if you wolf dreamed about that.

Now, crochety old men and puppies over dosing on chili was why I lost interest for DM all those years ago, Empy. What's so wrong about saying welcome to people? Or should I just tell them to go away and leave us alone instad? Hmmm.. Now there's a good idea ;D We old people like it when we are not bothered by newbies  ;)

Umm.. okay, that's fine. I usually don't make much sense anyway. Just thought I'd pop in on some other board than the wolfies and see how everyone is doing. Serious discussions with long posts over fifty-odd pages isn't for me so the book board is pretty much out of the question :)
