Well, the judges have made up their mind for the winner. All that is left is for you Wolfies to pick your's. Because we have to move onto leg 2 of our tour, the last day that I am accepting votes from you is tomorrow morning (i.e. Tuesday 9th September on British Summer Time). If no votes have been cast by then, all 3 Regiments will gain 2 points as the crowd vote.

No, because I can't monitor and see who has voted (unlike proboards). The Senior Staff thought about trusting Banders not to vote, but decided that posting your vote was the safest option in the end.

Archers

The sheer beauty and creativity of those verses blew me away

Good effort, Moggy and Sam.

 

With 1 vote each, the Infantry and the Cavalry are ties at the top, and pick up 3 points each. And the Archers pick up 1 point.

 

It seems the lure of TQ and Chilli wasn't good enough.

 

And now the judges verdict:

 

- Top, and gaining 4 points, it is the Cavalry. The Judges felt it had good flow and good syllable count, requirements for such verses. It also told a fantastic tale. The marker has been laid down and they have a tough act to follow for next week.

 

- In second, and picking up 2 points, it is the Archers. The verses had a good tale to them (but not as good as the Cavalry) and it flowed really well. The main downside was the syllable count was abit long - and as one judge said, "the cadence was off". But a good job anyway!

 

- And in last place, with 1 point, it is the Infantry. Our main concern was the lack of rhyme like Jak O' the Shadow verses should have. The erractic syllable count did not help, and we though it was more of a poem. I am sure you will improve and raise the bar for next week.

 

So there you go!!

 

If a Wolfkin Mod could move this thread back to the Band's public boards, that would be great.
