Joining the Kin

Hello all.  *waves and smiles*  I've heard so many wonderful things about the kin, it being a haven on the boards for love and companionship without the drama.  I'm close to being raised to Aes Sedai in the WT Org, my first RP novice is almost Accepted, and my RP warder trainee is going through his Tower Guard ceremony, so now that everything is a little more settled over all, I decided I wanted to go ahead and join the Kin now. :) 

 

I'm Quisalas, and I came to DM after listening to Raeyn talk about it a lot.  She got me into the series Wheel of Time and I really enjoyed the books and I absolutely love having a place to roleplay here on DM.  I've never joined or even really looked at any of the other WoT sites on the boards, I like this one. ;)  As a knitter, a mother, and a generally drama-free person, I was interested int he Kin right away, but I didn't want to get too involved with too many areas too quick and wind up being swamped or burned out by having to do too much.  I've been registered here and lurking since January, but only became active in June, after I finished reading the books.  In addition to the WT org and RP, I'm also a member of the Illuminators and I've become friends with your lovely Lor almost everywhere I've been.

 

So Hi! *waves again*  It'll be a pleasure getting to know all of you here.

In the meantime..*winks*  I get to give you your very own pair of blue Knitting needles!!  LOl  Few of us actually knit with them..but we do use them with a great deal of expertise and fun in poking!!  Like this..

Eep! More poking. :)  I do knit, as you probably know from the Crafters threads.  Most of mine are bamboo, but I do have a few purple pair and one red pair.  I'm using the red pair of needles right now to make a scarf, but shhh, that's a secret. ;)

*hugs Lor nice and tight*  I was hoping you'd be happy to see me, but now I feel really loved!  And nope, not leaving. :D  I even registered at the backup boards and stuff, although I saw they haven't gotten much love in the past year or so.  I guess DM hasn't gone down in a while.

Hello, and welcome.  I am Samurai, you can call me Sam.  I know what you mean about being swamped.....within a month of joining last Sept, I was in the Aiel, Band of the Red Hand, Black Tower, Illuminator, Kin, Seanchan, Ogier, and Wolfkin.  *Whew*
