Alin Awards: Dramatic Drama

The gala room is dark again and single circle of light follows a woman seating herself to a chair and holding a guitar. The strings plucked produce a mournful melody and the only thing sadder is how off the note her voice is.

 

“Weep, weep, weep for the sucker.

King Mark was made a cuckold.

Nephew Tristan did the deed.

Screwed auntie Isolde, sweet like mead.

 

There are boos among the audience and the woman glares around in anger. She breaks the guitar on the chair and stomps on the pieces tugging her braid. “Fine then, I am not a bloody guitar hero.”

 

“Siegfried and Brunhilde, Romeo and Juliet, Scarlett and Rhett… yadda yadda. All dramatic couples. DR PSW seems to like them too as we nominated so many for the Dramatic Drama.”

 

“There were some other kind of stories too but the script says that now it is Empy’s turn. He shall tell us more.”

 

Arette exits the stage singing “See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the drama queen.”

*comes on stage wearing a toga and holding a skull*

 

What... I thought I was suppose to do my Hamlet monologue. 

 

Well I will just get the nominees for Best Motion Picture... wait a minute... that is a discussion currently going at the Seanchan Organization... Dragonmount's home for TV, Movie and Console Gaming discussions. What kind of host would I be if I didn't hype my own Org?

Wow!  Something to make me feel good about the writing we've been doing here :P  Thank you all for your votes, and thank you more to all the people that have been enjoying the Aramina/Aran threads.  It means a lot to know that their torture... I mean... love... er something... was so well received..  I can only thank my writing cohort who can't see this but who deserves the award more because if James weren't constantly bugging me all night to RP Aramina would probably be some Green Sister that no one had heard of and even fewer cared about :P
