Roll up Roll up Free Booze For All!!! Oh, and Canapes ;D

*Demon finished setting up the tables full of said free booze... Guinfantry of course!... And a plateful of Canapes*

Hello, hello, hello!!! Allow me to extend a hearty greeting to the Newbie!! From all at the Band of The Red Hand! And in particular the Infantry regiment. Why am I here, I hear you ask?

As the New Year approaches I invite you, if you are interested in a challenge, to join The Band of the Red Hand, *CoughInfantrycough*

At the Band, there are three regiments, Archers, Cavalry and by far the best in my opinion *Fanfare!!* THE INFANTRY!! I am in no way biased in my opinion though! Honest! There is a great deal to keep you entertained over at the Bands private boards once signed up. From an abundance of games at the Range (Archers) Jousting at the Stables (Err... Cavalry, surprise surprise!) And plenty Bars and Taverns to drink, relax, be merry and have a Brawl in the Barracks... And lots lots more. We have the Org game, which is a turn-based fighting game where you can build up your stats to the level where you can annihilate an opponent with a single blow... well sort of :-\

If you have ever aspired to be called a Blademaster, you can achieve this only at the Infantry. The training is a long and arduous one, but one which is ultimately very rewarding, giving a true sense of achievement and worth.

So, as you may have guessed, I am an Infantry member meaning I am not overly qualified to inform you of the other regiments. But rest assured there will be others along at some time to fill you in on the details ;D

In the meantime I shall pin up this poster for you to peruse at your leisure.

If you have any further questions about The Band and the Infantry, or any other of the regiments, feel free to ask to your heart's content, and myself or any other member will be more than happy to oblige...

In the meantime, help yourself to a Guinny... Not to mention one of my delicious Canapes!!

*smiles sweetly at DS* ... *pops a canape into her mouth, followed by a sip of ... booze, then turns back to Outlaw*

Welcome back  :D

As you can see, there are many things to do at the Band ... at the White Tower we have ... Aes Sedai *smiles brightly* and Warders.

Do pop by the Red Ajah some time - we have waiters with chocolate fountains, Rum, Strawberries, Cherries, and of course ... Red Aes Sedai *points to her siggy*  ;D

Don't listen to her!!! It is a ruse!

*Turns to El'Gee, Wraps her up in his arms, looks deep into her eyes and begins to recite*

Yet, love, mere love, is beautiful indeed

And worthy of acceptation. Fire is bright,

Let temple burn, or flax; an equal light

Leaps in the flame from cedar-plank or weed:

And love is fire. And when I say at need

I love thee . . . mark ! . . . I love thee--in thy sight

I stand transfigured, glorified aright,

With conscience of the new rays that proceed

Out of my face toward thine. There's nothing low

In love, when love the lowest: meanest creatures

Who love God, God accepts while loving so.

And what I feel, across the inferior features

Of what I am, doth flash itself, and show

How that great work of Love enhances Nature's.

*Proceeds to thoroughly kiss El'Gee until she is breathless... Then Dumps her unceremoniously on the ground*

So... Who wants a Brew!!

Posted

*slowly revives ... staggers upright* ... DS, I have one thing to say:

.

.

.

.

.

.

less garlic!

;D ;D ;D

*snugglebites DS on his ankle, then sashays over to Outlaw*

Ignore him - he's had 1 too many CANDIES today  ::)

So ... do you have any questions for us, Outlaw_Immortal?  Or are things pretty much like you remembered? *tries to shake DS off her leg whilst maintaining AS dignity*

*Wonders whether to tell El'Gee that she has just attempted to sashay with a dog determinedly hu.... Doing "Things"... To her leg*

Nah, I'll leave it be, Rover seems to be having fun ;)

*walks in*...hmmm can I smell garlic...oh well

Well Outlaw I would like to recommend the Wolfkin Org. We are the Nature Org, and love anything that gets us closer to nature. We have a nature thread to show off all your fantastic nature pictures. We are also the home of TQ and Chilli (TQ = Tequila), and even have our own TQ lake and Monster, Larry, who is a little lamb, once you get to know him ;)

As for the Band, they are fun too, and the White Tower, and if you pop in there you will have to meet us Reds...we are sure to make it worth your while ;D

I actually had a bio worked up before I dropped off the face of the earth some time ago heh. I know for a fact that I dont have it anymore but sure wish I did! My char would like to duel wield and I see him more as a outlawish/assassin type of guy who is mroe so based on honor but can be cruel when he needs to be. If that type of thing works inside the hands rules and such then I would be happy to see what the band has to offer.

I have been a role player for years and I play a few online games, ultima online and world of warcfrat. I am not stranger it but have never really done this type of role play before, I wouldnt mind trying though!

To everyone else, thanks for the warm welcome!

The training to become a Blademaster is one of the highlights of the Infantry of the Band of the Red Hand. While the particulars of this training regime are a closely guarded secret, there is no denying the fact that you will have to earn the right to become a BM. There are only 5 active BM's in the Band now, and only seven people have ever earned the right to call themselves Blademasters.

This is NOT a token rank to be dished out just because you have signed in to roll-call enough times... You have to PROVE you are worthy.

If this has scared you off... Well, you would never become a Blademaster... If this has merely intrigued you, sign up, what harm can it do?

Welcome Outlaw,

I'm the Captain-General and Blademaster of the Infantry at the Band and the Editor in chief of the Band's newspaper. I'm also the Highest of the Red Ajah. So you can imagine I have my hands full with these brats here lol. *snugglebites her beloved brats*

Would like to clarify something as I noticed you are into role playing. Our side of DM is not based on Role playing. For that there is the RP side, which you can find below the Org side of DM.

With us you don't need to develop bio's as you are engaging in activities and gaining rank and positions as 'you', not as a character. So our set up is quite a bit different from the RP side.

A member of any org on the Org Side of DM is themselves. We join the Orgs and Org subdivisions depending on where we ourselves as a person feel most drawn to and feel most at home. Which can be quite different from playing a character as this is about 'us' not 'a' character.

Having said that I hope we'll see you around on the Band and in the WT as we can always use some fresh meat um..... juicy blood um...... new friends!!
