Babylon 5 Lives on, apparently

I saw something today about a short Babylon 5 movie released to DVD earlier this year, and a possible sequel in 2008. Did anyone hear about this? It was supposed to feature mainly on just three characters, with a couple more for the next one- mainly because the actors who played G'Kar and the doctor both died a year before they offered to make a real movie on Babylon 5...

I went out and bought it the day it came out.  It's not that good though.  The movie has two parts.  The first involving Elizabeth Lockley which put me to sleep and I still have not been able to finish watching (though I never did like her character).  She was trying to solve some sort of ghost problem on Bab 5.  The second half involved Sheridan and the Technomage/Kosh wannabe Galen and was much more intersting.  In this one Sheridan is shown that the Centauri Prince who is next in line to be Emperor after Veer is a monster (takes after his father Cartargia (sp)) and Sheridan is told by Galen that he must be killed to protect the future.  Sheridan has to make the choice between killing the kid or possible destroying the future.

There are supposed to be more direct to DVL releases coming next year and possible more following those.  The next one will have a Garibaldi storyline (which I can't wait for) and possibly once involving Molari.

They do make references to G'Kar and Franklin in the movies.  Their characters have gone beyond the great rim to explore the unknown universe and there is also a small comic that shows them going off on their journey.  A very fitting tribute to the characters and to the actors who played them.
