we all know the word asociation games and whatnot...post based on the last posters post

 

this is slightly different...to rarily we tell the people who mean something for us that they actualy have an impact on our life

 

i read a card once who said it so nicely "friends is the family you choose yourself"

 

we all have our frustrations up and down in life and can need a path on the back or a hug from time to time

 

which is what got me on the idea of this tread, cause maybe a tread like this can create more fellowship as well.

 

The basic gist of the tread is, say something positive about the person who posted before you, wheter it be a good memory you shared, a rp that made you smile, cry feel empaty etc. If they are a good friend, or so on had any positive effect, maybe you just admire their control of language in their posts

 

end of it is, it will also make us strugle to recal things we might otherwise have forgoten, and we get to see what others have to say about people and so can also get to know eachother bether

 

and remember the more greetings you send along the more you will get yourself as well...and we all like to hear something positive no?

 

Now since i dont have anyone infront of me i figured i'd go to the very core of things DM...3 years a member here, i had so many memories, goten so many friend, and some more then friends, bondmates, spirit siblings, mentors, mentee's, guides and even some rolle models

 

that all wouldnt have been posible if i hadnt found DM, and though DM can be an anoyance the good far outbalance that, i couldnt have found DM if it didnt exist

 

so to start the tread thank you to the creator of DM

Hmmm...  What exactly can I say about Ata?

 

Well, she's got a great sense of humor, an interesting way of becoming her characters when she writes, and she's probably the easiest boss to get along with that I've ever had.

 

Now, in real life, she's  simply a wonderful person in every way imaginable, and I feel honored and privileged to know her.  So Ata...  *lifts the fabled water pitcher*  ... here's to you.

That phrase must be universal. I've heard it said around here too. Well, the thread must be continued, and I will start, obligatory as always. (Though it would be hard for somebody to follow up with something nice about me) 8)

 

Now, the person who has posted in front of me is Ata. Ata Dorje, my first weapons trainer (albeit on another site), the best teacher I could have hoped for when I started RPing, the one who had always led by example, whether in games of werewolves, making amazing siggies (haha, I still pale in comparison, as I cannot make a single siggie, though I will learn to!), or just the insane posting sprees that leaves my jaw unaligned as it hangs there, catching flies.

 

(Though I think the last time we RPed was when you played the father Forseti. Too long ago, but yay for memories!)  

 

"A thinker, a creator", that is Ata. She has been the Bosslady, encouraging me to get involved with my characters, attracting people for RPs, and just making life fun for everybody. I remember looking forward to RPs because she's so quick and fresh, so her posts, her lessons always makes me think more about how my characters should respond, giving more depth into their personalities and whatnot's.

 

I have also heard it once said that a person who says kind words can say them 'cause they've been through it already, and has found that kindness to say. It's true. Ata is always kind to me, and I am grateful for her sharing her experiences. She is at the same time one of the most courageous people I know, and tackles projects with levelheadedness, creativity, and unsurpassed confidence. (Now you're thinking, she's laying it on thick! Sorry, it's all sincere!) :-)

 

So, thank you Ata for the good times, and let's hope for more to come.

 

Edit: Oh blast him, but the Quibbler's gotten ahead of me to his better half. Now I'm left looking foolish having written a thing for Ata. Blow that; I'm writing about him.

 

Lessee here. What exactly can I say about Quibbler?

 

Man's got the biggest boots I've seen or heard of; ain't afeared to use 'em either. I remember how I conjoled him into taking over a division on Mirrors, he err, flipped a coin and became our very new GL then promised to not spare the rod, moreover the boot. He's done well, by the booting.  ;D

 

Despite the chair bombs and the occasional bootings and err, lost my train of thought, eep, too many 'splody things, oh yes! Remember now, despite his taking over the Imperial Flatterer position that I had lusted for, err, not a bad guy. *Weakly.* Doesn't want his reputation to shatter, but we can thank Ata some more for that.  :D

 

Ahh, music too. He's a musician, what can I say? I heard Music of the Night sung by the Quibbler once. That was wonderful.

 

I remember one of the first times we spoke in Chat, it was, and I ended up having to Wiki this: "Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch'intrate"; that was okay though. I was trying the recite Hamlet's To be or not the be soliloquet at the time, so must have driven half of Chat bananas. Here, I shall leave this alone now, before somebody quips, ahh, there is the rub. Not a fraudulant slip either.

 

BM in the corner says Hadoken, and ends this rambling with some nice off-aim stabbing! Rah.

 

PS Edit: *Grin* Just got booted for the cheek in the last Edit, but while I'm at it, I had forgotten about Quibby in Mafia, especially when he's modding. Quibbler doesn't trust me to be a killer in Mafia, and gives us the oddest roles! But it's great fun, so merci beaucoup! [salutes]

Lilly is awesome and really helped get me thinking about ideas for my characters and really think about having some fun with this when I returned to DM.  Even though we still haven't gotten to RP together (and she never talks to em anymore :( ) I still think she's great. :)

Wow... what can I 'not' Say about Ree.... *coughs*.. Probably a Lot... :D

 

I'm fairly certain i've said all of this before, but when i first joined DM, Ree was like my... Goddess of RP and Leadership. She had all this Power and Aura and help her position with such a firm yet understanding hand... But now that I can talk to her on a more one-on-one basis now that the tables have turned (:D) I've discouvered what a fierce and loyal friend. Your advice and your laugh is priceless and without them i woul dbe a poorer woman.

So, Thank you, for everything. :)

  I can say many many things about Andrea, each more positive than the other. I know Andrea for 6 years and it has been 6 years of true friendship. Andrea is a true friend in every meaning of the word you can think of. It has been a pleasure, honour and privilage for me to RP with one of the best writers I know. She's caring, determined, witty and a source of ideas and inspiration. Your creativity and artistic talents made RPs with you magical, and from those RPs came the talks which revealed you as the most trustworthy person I know, and the person with the most beautiful smile I have ever seen.

 

    So thank you, Andrea, for everything

Bane of chickens. Could be called chickensbane! Vigilante in Mafia, the tea drinker! Awesome Go player, and player of other strategy games. Helped me in Chemistry. Helped others in Maths. Prom story! Err, what else. Brilliant evil engineer. Father of a few, but I'm the prettiest! *Gets bashed* Not really. Anyway he sings, does evil laughs, is a gentleman in everything he does, and a great RPer at that. A comfort in Chat, I dunno how we'll be without you. Probably in lots more dark corners. :)
