Imagine what WoT would be like if...

Perrin was kidnapped and Faile became obsessed with rescuing him...

Rand was a woman shared by three men...

Morgase was a king who had been subjugated (if that's the word) by Graendal...

Aes Sedai were male with female Warders...

etc. etc? Not saying it would be better or anything. Just interesting to think about.  Some of the gender-role reversals already in the books, such as those among the Ogier and Sea Folk, have got me pondering.

I dunno if this could happen. Perrin would probably die fighting rather than get kidnapped, plus he has wolf backup.

Rand was a woman shared by three men...

Can you say... Anita Blake?  ;D

Faile would follow the shaido south, reach an alliance with the Seanchan, assault the Aiel... only Aram wouldn't fail in killing her. Thus would peace, light and happiness return to the world.

Perrin would take over the Aiel... with words!

Rand was a woman shared by three men...

Then at least someone would have been satisfied with the events of CoT.

Morgase was a king who had been subjugated (if that's the word) by Graendal...

Isn't that what happened in Arad Domon anyway?

Aes Sedai were male with female Warders...

Then the ritual of raising an Amyrlin would be far more (or less, depends on your perspective) interesting, and the whitecloaks would never dare try to attack the Aes Sedai.

Luckers, I think you're right about the events in Arad Doman.  But it didn't get enough book time for me to be sure. It would be interesting to see if the people there felt the same way about it as the Andorans about Morgase.

And let's make the Whitecloaks women, too.  Actually, I've been wondering if there ARE any Whitecloak women--just rare ones--or if only men are allowed to join.  Did I miss an explanation of that somewhere?
