Red Ajah Politics and Relationships

Been doing some thinking, and with the Ajah Hall as it stands, Maegan is in a fairly decent position with the other Ajah's on a personal Basis but I'm not entirely sure where the rest of our Ajah Stands Via Friends VS Enemies in the other Ajahs. Also as a reminder, All Ajah Aspies are full sisters during this part of the timeline, meaning that Saline and any other can partake as they wish in whichever politics occur.

 

I'll have to write up Mae's personal alliances/acquaintances later when i'm not at work. :P

 

However, I came to realize something. I have this lovely Travel Journal Ter'Angreal(s) that I have yet to use in an RP, and I think that it would be pretty spiffy to communicate with someone In the Tower during the Warchers RP regarding Sitters and the Ammy.

 

Travel Journal

Two journals with sister/mirrored books. One pair (Blue) were first created in an experiment to transfer information from one book to anouther through the One Power. However there was a glitch, where one could be written in and show in the other book, but it could not be replied to, and if erased it disappeared from both books. Seeing the potential value to this, Maegan tried again and made anouther pair (brown) that allowed for communication to be viewed two ways. This pair also had a ward woven into the bindings so that only those linked to the journal may be able to read it. If anouther found the journals they would be unable to open it.

- Currently only one journal (Blue) is in possession of Beatrice Elmdor-Tol - a freelander and Maegan’s most informative E&E’s.

 

(I feel Muirenn glaring at me because I haven't RP'd the making of these..... *coughs... *)

 

 

There are two options -

- A sister of the Red Stumbles on the Journal on Maegan's Desk.

- Maegan leaves the journal in the care of anouther sister within the Ajah. I was thinking Sitter, But Carise seems to not be around atm. :(

- OR *just thought of this* Carise has to Leave at a moments notice and entrusts the care of the book to anouther sister who then communicates with Maegan Regarding the lack of Sitters in the Tower.

 

 

Keeping this in Mind (and ninja-ing stuff from James and the Whites... ):

 

There are about three weeks (thirty days, each week in randland is ten days) between when Sirayn disappeared and when Annais was raised. During this time there is also the last end of the Watchers RP. So, here is a proposed basic timeline (definitely not all of it to be played out, if any.  If anything in particular looks interesting to play with we can do it, or we can simply assume).

 

 

 

Week One

 

- Sirayn is deemed missing, no clues, possible talk about a new Amyrlin begins.  Lines are being drawn between support for different claimants, focusing on two in particular. Rumours support Kirsta Flores, a blue sister who is dangerously intelligent, regal, completely committed to the Tower and after two and a half centuries more than proven as a capable contender for the Amyrlin Seat who could help regain the Tower's position in the world, bring the Dragon into line and prepare the Tower for Tarmon Gaidon.

 

However, Red politics and their alliance with the Gray Ajah aligning themselves with Annais Nevell, a Gray Sister who is younger than her rival yet shares just as distinguished a career and is also quite capable.  She is seen as more versatile as some (especially as she returns not long after Sira's disappearance with the Watcher's RP sisters returned), by others perhaps not to have the imperial stature required to be the Amyrlin Seat.  Those that know her would be aware that she would be more likely to negotiate with the Dragon, assist and aid rather than control.

 

- Discussions of what will be required from an Amyrlin ensue, more support swings towards dealing with the Dragon than trying to exert control, but the upper hierarchy remains strongly against it because it would mean diminishing the position of the White Tower and its ability to influence politics of the Westlands and to guide the world towards Tarmon Gaidon.

 

- The sisters recieve word from Maegan about Muirenn's Stilling, the Bondings and the state of the Watchers. Also learn that Estel of the Blue Ajah had escaped the party and will send word back to the tower and for the Red Sisters to be ready.

 

- Carise is Deemed missing and the New Sitters are stepping forward in any Hall occurances.

 

Week Two

 

- Sirayn Simeone's disappearance hasn't prompted the choosing of a new Amyrlin Seat yet, waiting to see if Sirayn will reappear is on the agenda.  Nevertheless, the talk continues and deepens as to whether a new Amyrlin Seat be picked between the two candidates.

 

- Annais & the rest of the Watchers Party return from Caemlyn. Maegan calls an emergency Red Ajah meeting and All sisters of the Shawl are required, without question, to attend. Maegan informs them of the Alliance/Bargain she had made with the Black Tower and in turn annuls all restrictions on Bonding - Male or Female.

 

- Also, there is a small discussion on Sirayn Sedai and her role with the Red Ajah. There are no longer any secrets as to the part the Red Ajah played with the stilling of her Son.

 

- Also, Anouther thought is, Do we want to make the Red Ajah the only Ajah to be completely open about the Black Ajah with eachother? I have a "Truth Rod" That I can pull in for a possible series of Ajah RP's. Where Mae will approach specific sisters and confirm their Alliance with the Tower. (This is also partially up to Muirenn, as she placed the Rule that my Truth Rob may not leave the Academy, but she's FL GL and I will leave that to her... (yes anouther Ter'Angreal that i have yet to RP creating..... What can I say, i'm Busy.. Muir, i'll try PMing you about this.. )

 

Week Three

 

-  The issue of Amyrlin remains under discussion, sisters from outside the White that are hoping to influence the White's decisions so the issue of which replacement for Sirayn shall be settled.

 

- The Red Sisters in agreement for Annais as the next Amyrlin Seat.

 

 

 

 

I Have no idea how each sister feels about it being Annais as Amyrlin Seat (instead of an icky Blue). All thoughts and ideas for debates on this is welcome and encouraged.

I just realized something.

 

I feel that the Reds would be the last to 'stand' in hopes to throw off the Blue Ajah to vote in favour of a Gray Amyrlin instead of a Blue Amyrlin...

I don't know if I like the idea of allowing the Reds to bond willy-nilly, and I think that's something that would have to be discussed with Owen & Steve.  But I do think that it might be possible to allow the Reds to bond Asha'man only, ala the books, and provided we could get the boys to agree. :D

 

With the ter'angreal, again you're going to have to talk to Owen about being able to use them without having done the creation RPs.  I'll go with whatever he says, since it's not my call anymore.

 

I would like to use this RP to introduce Shevara, if y'all are all right with that.  She could be the one who is given the journal before Carise leaves.  Her handling of the situation could be the reason she is elevated to Sitter.

 

Shevara returns to the Tower smack in the middle of the Watchers stuff, has a quick meeting with Carise before the latter leaves, and is handed the journal for safekeeping.  She hears through the journal and the second party of sisters sent to the BT about what happened, and takes up a correspondence with Mae through the journal, relaying her orders to the Reds.  When Mae returns, she names Shevara to Muirenn's vacant chair.  And the rest of the RP goes on as outlined. :)

Well, the reasoning behind this is because I want to have Maegan bond a Female Tower Guard. However, in light of the Watchers i see no reason why we can't bond Ashies. However, why leave the other TG's out? There are enough of them and some can not find bond holders... Why deprive them of good Red Ajah loving. :)

 

Again, not all Reds will feel implied to gain a bonded. But, like the Greens, I would allow up to 3 as we are also in the field and preparing for the Final Battle.

 

As for you *pinches Muirs Cheeks*, you are far too much of a traditionalist.. :P Think with your new red, not your old one.. (unless she's like your old one than Think Like Mae. :D)

The beginings of the idea really started with Maegan and her bond to Serge. Once it is seperated Mae will find herself with a few listless moments and miss that bond being there (regardless of that relationship). I thought it would be best if she filled that bond by taking on a Gaidar. (Female Tower Guard) as they do not posses the ability to channel and will not compromise the Red Ajah "policy" on bonding.

Male Channelers charged the Red Ajah with the Goal to protect the world by stilling thier kind that were taken by the taint. And even though they still are ridden with the taint, but alloing both sides to see this common goal, we hope to be able to work together alongside the dragon to find balance as well as a cure for the Taint and the winning of TG.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not speaking from an IC perspective here.  Strictly a game mechanics thing.  I don't think there's been enough foundation laid to support the Reds taking Warders from the TG.  I do think that there is more than enough reason for them to want to take (or rather, see the need for) Asha'man as Warders.  And I think that IC this could be easily done, especially with a Gray Amyrlin that is trying to actively negotiate with the BT.  In fact, I think that some of the bonded pairs that are annulled would be totally willing to turn around and have the bond work the other direction, with those BT boys becoming ambassadors/emmissaries in Tar Valon.  I think that makes for an interesting plotline, and differentiates the Reds taking Warders from becoming just like the other Ajahs.  Shevara, for instance, would be all over that idea, and likely would have had several Warders from gentled men already if it had been allowed.  However, she wouldn't be convinced that it would be a good idea to take Warders from among the TG. :)

 

And the thing with the ter'angreal really is just going to be a simple as whipping up an RP where they are created.  Then they can be used for whatever funness y'all want to get up to. :D
