I am new here and happy to be a DMer. I went to a few WoT sessions at Dragoncon. I kind of sat in the back and watched, I am kind of shy.

If you're at all interested in role-playing, there's a thriving RP community here.  For roleplaying, I'd suggest starting off by reading this post: http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/topic,354.0.html  That covers the basics and will give you an idea of where to begin.

 

Next you'll want to get an idea of the kind of character you'll want to play. Just about every group of people on Randland are represented in some way. When you have an idea of the kind of character you'll want to play, you'll need to come up with a character bio and have it approved for play. For more info on that, check out this post: http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/topic,717.0.html

 

After that, just find your way to the Div boards for your chosen Division and begin to join in on the fun as you await for your bio to be approved and to be assigned a mentor

 

But no matter what you decide to do with your time here at DM, I hope you enjoy yourself. And once again, welcome aboard. :)

Hey Gyphan, welcome to DM, hopefully you will enjoy yourself here.

 

I'd l;ike to recomment an ORG or two, they are the community part of DM and all welcome newcomers, so pop along and say hi.

 

The first is the Wolfkinn, especially if you are a nature lover. We also so have TQ and chilli and are quite laid back.

The Band of the Red Hand dabbles in music and travel, but we also have brew, brawls and lots of fun.

The Seachan is the place to discuss your fav films, TV and games.

And the Organised games are the place to find some forum games we like to run, especially the mafia games.

 

So pop along and say HI, and if you should go into the White Tower be sure to pop by the Red Ajah (we are nothing like the books here on the org side ;) )

Shy eh?  The wolfkin is definately a good place for you to start if you need to ease in somewhere, if you're not looking to go soley RP that is.  We're a fun loving bunch that loves new people and do what we can to make you feel right at home.

 

Then maybe once you've settled in a little bit you can pop on over to Organized Games and get into the spirit of the competition.  You can join into a newbie mafia game and learn the ropes.  Also if you have any other ideas of games that can be played, let us know.  Right now all we're running is mafia, but we're open to new ideas.
