Hi, I'm new so I posted on the New Members page...as you can see. :D

 

I've been reading tWoT books for 5 months, and read them 3 times now with a slight stop in the middle to read the Harry Potter books again in time for no. 7. I've also read New Spring twice, but I didn't like it as much as the main series. My favourite characters are Mat and Birgitte, and my favourite book is either KoD or tEotW, but the whole series is the best I've read EVER! ;D

 

I've been looking at this forum for some time but only registered a few days ago. I'm interested to know what the different Orgs do and if someone would tell me please I'd be a happy person. :D

First off there's the wolfkin, they're the nature org.  Then there's the band of the red hand and they deal with like music and travel.  Then there's the aiel.... I just joined them so I'm not so sure myself what they're about.  Then there's the Seanchan, they're the entertainment org, meaning movie, tv disucussion stuff. ummm there are a few others but I'm not so sure what they're about... I think there's a thread uptop about them all.

 

But let's get to the good stuff. ;D  Like fiddlesticks, the mostest fun place on DM, then tehre's Organized Games, the most competitve place on DM.  You should check them out. ;D

Hi and welcome to Dragonmount!  :D

 

I'm a member of the Aiel and White Tower Orgs. The Aiel Org is kind of small and laidback, and we have lots of fun. Every month we have a monthly discussion, often about books and/or current events.  :)

In the White Tower you can either choose the Warder path or the Aes Sedai path. It's one of the bigger Orgs, with may different types of discussions going on.  :)

If you're at all interested in role-playing, there's a thriving RP community here as well.  For roleplaying, I'd suggest starting off by reading this post: http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/topic,354.0.html  That covers the basics and will give you an idea of where to begin.

 

Next you'll want to get an idea of the kind of character you'll want to play. Just about every group of people on Randland are represented in some way. When you have an idea of the kind of character you'll want to play, you'll need to come up with a character bio and have it approved for play. After that, just find your way to the Div boards for your chosen Division and begin to join in on the fun as you await for your bio to be approved and to be assigned a mentor
