Blood vs millitary rank

okey when i sat down trying to continue the line my bio left off at ...well i sudenly found myself stuck on what would natural behaviour be, and a litle discusion later with someone i am begining to wonder how things is interpeted here in dm and if my seanchean bio is an imposibility

 

Blood can hold rank in millitary officary of higher note, but as the one i discussed it with said...exotic handlers is property, regardless of heigth in rank...a blood minor or higher could learn how to handle an exotic but wouldnt enter the rank system as it would denote them (ie be going down in rank)

 

Like blood in the  book who can handle damane (Tuon for instance) isnt talked about as sul'dam or such (or is this remembered discorectly)

many had thougth it odd when tuon tested for sul'dam on reaching adulthood, though none could gainsay her, yhen. except her mother, who had allowed it by remaining silent. actually becoming a sul'dam was unthinkable, of course, but she found as much enjoyment in training damane as in training horses, and she was as good at one as the other.
