Hey--I'm new and am just looking around. This looks like a lot of fun! I've done a little roleplaying so I'll probly join up.

 

I Really like the books. I will try not to be a bother with too many questions, But what is the best roleplaying group here?

I don't know anything about the RPing groups here.  I just began RPing, so...

 

Don't forget there are other things than RPing, though.  There are Orgs, which are fun little communities to hang out and have fun, of course.

 

The Band of the Red Hand is always a good choice.  Drop by for a bandy or 4 or even an MG-Brew.  *licks lips*

 

The Wolfkin are a more laid back Org.  All about fun and chilli and tequila.

 

The White Tower is fun, you can be an Aes Sedai or a Warder, despite your gender.  YAY! :D

 

The Aiel are the SPEAR!  I'm still gaishian atm, so I don't know much, but I know the oosquai is fantastic!

Welcome Xilanin, I have no idea which id the best place to start the RPingg, but if you down any thing with Div on the end it to do with the RP side.

 

But as Dsage said the Orgs are fun and friendly and you can pop along in those as well if you feel like it.

 

If you like games we have an organised games baords, and at the moment are running two mafia typr games.

I love RP too... although I don't do it on any of the boards here. There are several WoT RP sites that I know off... two actually.

Anyway.. don't miss out on all the fun in the orgs. The Aiel are a great place to have fun. The WT has almost everythingcheck out the Warders guild. Of course Talya up there is a friendly red too. So do drop by to visit the reds. ;)

As for RPing, the best thing to do is to drop by their boards lower down, as they don't have an official welcomer here at the moment, but I shall raise the issue on the Staff Board now. You're not the first person to ask, but go to the RP section for more answers.

 

Don't forget the ORG side either. Best ORG is the Band of the Red Hand! Music and travel is our poison theme! Pop on by if that interests you, as well as some fun!

For roleplaying, I'd suggest starting off by reading this post: http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/topic,354.0.html  That covers the basics and will give you an idea of where to begin.

 

Next you'll want to get an idea of the kind of character you'll want to play. Just about every group of people on Randland are represented in some way. When you have an idea of the kind of character you'll want to play, you'll need to come up with a character bio and have it approved for play. After that, just find your way to the Div boards for your chosen Division and begin to join in on the fun as you await for your bio to be approved and to be assigned a mentor.
