DM News:The Wheel of Time Prop Auction Is LIVE! Watch Our Interview with Propstore’s Ibrahim Faraj + Enter to Win!

[Kathy Campbell]

The wait is over! The Wheel of Time TV show costume and prop auction from Propstore is officially open, running October 12th–28th, and our interview with Propstore’s Senior Consignments Manager, Ibrahim Faraj, is live now on the Dragonmount YouTube channel!

And to celebrate, we’re giving away Rand al’Thor and Perrin Aybara’s Snakes and Foxes set! (Details below.)

Before anything else…

If you plan on trying to buy something from this auction, PLEASE go to Propstore.com, REGISTER for the site, and FINISH the bidding approval process, or you will not be able to bid!

About the interview

As a Senior Consignments Manager, Ibrahim gets to go out and find all the cool stuff for folks like us to buy (not to mention himself, since he’s a collector too)! He got to do things like “call Sony and advocate to them” to get as much stuff for us as possible, and when there were multiples of an item, he made sure to get the best versions, labeled H1, or Hero 1.

Dream job, I know.

The excitement about the community finally getting to see months of work from dozens of people was palpable throughout our chat. I knew immediately that I liked Ibrahim (phenomenal vibes), and it wasn’t just because of the original stormtrooper art hanging on the wall behind him. No spoilers for Ibrahim: he’s only read up to The Shadow Rising, but don’t worry, he’s already started relistening to the series and promised he will finish!

His fave character at the moment is Perrin, but he’s also a huge fan of Lan. And most of all (a man after my own heart) he loved the sets, the makeup, and the costumes, especially the S3 stuff. Watch the interview to find out why!

Propstore even put out a call within their ranks for fans of TWoT to work on this project, and it shows in the attention to detail, including the dozens and dozens of gorgeous 4K images of the items. In Ibrahim’s words, it’s “the most we have ever done, maybe.”

Go show Ibrahim some love in the comments, even though it wasn’t his first time on camera… Season 3, Episode 1 of House of the Dragon. (Check out the background Lannister soldiers. 😉 )
