Thanks to Bing chat, we now have summaries of those books that I have been dying to know more about since I read this series many, many years ago.

Now I want to read them even more...

Reality and the Absence of Meaning

In this book, Elan Morin argues that reality is a meaningless and chaotic phenomenon, that is constantly shaped and reshaped by the One Power, a force that emanates from the Creator and the Dark One. He claims that the One Power is not a benevolent or malevolent force, but rather a blind and indifferent one, that does not care about the fate of the living beings that use it or are affected by it. He also asserts that the Wheel of Time, a metaphysical mechanism that weaves the pattern of reality and the lives of all creatures, is not a source of order or harmony, but rather a source of repetition and futility. He contends that the Wheel of Time is doomed to spin endlessly, creating and destroying worlds and civilizations, without any purpose or direction. He further maintains that the concept of free will is an illusion, and that all actions and choices are predetermined by the Wheel of Time and the One Power. He concludes that the only way to escape from this meaningless and hopeless reality is to join the Dark One, who seeks to break the Wheel of Time and end the cycle of existence, thus bringing true freedom and peace to all.

The Disassembly of Reason

In this book, Elan Morin challenges the validity and value of reason, the faculty of the mind that allows humans to think logically and rationally. He argues that reason is not a reliable or objective tool for understanding reality, but rather a subjective and biased one, that is influenced by emotions, prejudices, and assumptions. He claims that reason is not a source of knowledge or wisdom, but rather a source of confusion and error, that leads humans to make false or contradictory claims about reality. He also asserts that reason is not a source of morality or justice, but rather a source of conflict and violence, that leads humans to justify their actions or condemn the actions of others, based on their own interests or beliefs. He concludes that reason is a hindrance and a burden, that prevents humans from seeing the truth and accepting the reality of their situation. He advises humans to abandon reason and embrace intuition, the faculty of the mind that allows humans to perceive reality directly and instinctively, without the interference of logic or rationality. He suggests that intuition is the only way to connect with the One Power and the Dark One, and to achieve a state of harmony and bliss.

Analysis of Perceived Meaning

In this book, Elan Morin examines the concept and origin of meaning, the quality or significance that humans attribute to reality and their existence. He argues that meaning is not an inherent or objective property of reality, but rather a constructed or subjective one, that is created by humans through their language and culture. He claims that meaning is not a universal or constant phenomenon, but rather a relative and variable one, that changes depending on the context and perspective. He also asserts that meaning is not a beneficial or desirable phenomenon, but rather a harmful or detrimental one, that creates illusions and expectations that cannot be fulfilled by reality. He concludes that meaning is a false and unnecessary phenomenon, that distracts humans from the true nature of reality and their existence. He recommends humans to deconstruct and discard meaning, and to embrace nihilism, the philosophical position that denies any value or purpose to reality and existence. He proposes that nihilism is the only way to cope with the absurdity and emptiness of reality and existence, and to prepare for the inevitable end of all things.
