Back in 2007, an Indie film came out called "The Man from Earth". It was written by Star Trek and Twilight Zone writer, Jerome Bixby.

The original movie took place almost entirely inside of a cabin, with a story that focused on a professor named John Oldman as he revealed to his colleagues that he is 14,000 years old.

The original isn't without controversy.

He accidentally became Jesus

So it's safe to say many from the religious crowd (like those who love "God's not Dead"), hate this movie.

The sequel quite literally takes place 10 years later as he's about to move on again.

It has some Scooby Doo elements with college kids discovering who he is, and trying to confront him on it.

Overall, if you loved the first one, but go in with no expectations on the sequel, you might enjoy it. Go in with high expectations? You'll hate it.

Also, I can't help but feel that this movie is a shot at the "God's not Dead" film in that it's the antithesis to it.

Like atheists getting into making religious movies that offer other possibilities for divinity.
